Everyone gawked at the sight before them, it was not one they were expecting to see but it was more than a welcome sight to them all.
Beneath them was none other than a sea guardian, an ancient creature said to be a protector of the border waters. Rare, elusive, and never hostile unless provoked and they were as powerful as they looked as well.
Its eye, a deep golden hue, peeked above the surface as it passed beside the ship. The entire vessel tilted slightly as a wave rolled from its movement, but it wasn't threatening; it was like being acknowledged by something ancient, something beyond.
"By the gods..." Seraphina whispered as she reached the deck just in time, her eyes wide with awe.
Alnira stepped up beside her, silent for a long moment. "It's a Miravune... I read about them once. I thought they were extinct, but it seems like I was wrong; they were just minding their own business under the sea, I wonder if there is more of them though."
