Beatrix's legs trembled, but she forced herself to stand her ground. "Sylvester, please, we never meant for things to go this far. Rita—she's just… she's young, she made a mistake—"
"A mistake?" Sylvester's lips curled in a bitter smile. "A mistake is a moment of poor judgment. What you and your daughters did was premeditated manipulation and cruelty."
Dianna's fingers tightened around her handbag, desperation flashing in her eyes. "We are family! We can talk this out. You can't just turn your back on us!"
"Family?" Sylvester's gaze darkened. "Family is built on trust, loyalty, and love. But all you've shown is deceit and betrayal."
His men stepped forward, and Dianna instinctively backed away, her façade cracking. "What are you going to do?" she whispered.
"Ensuring that neither of you harm my family again." Sylvester's voice was ice.
"Your influence, your schemes...they end here."
