The days that followed were like a dream, one that Cecilia was not so willing to wake up from.
The martial prowess of a Kaslana was inescapable. Siegfried alone could easily knock her out and carry her away, so she couldn't escape.
So this dream couldn't be woken up from...
Unexpectedly, Cecilia and Shigure Kira's meeting was not unpleasant at all. Any normal person could have given a simple and effective explanation.
After understanding the specific situation from both sides, Nicholas and Salome decided to "let off some steam" for Cecilia.
However, all of them tacitly avoided mentioning anything about sending Cecilia back. Even Cecilia herself and Shigure Kira did not do so.
Cecilia needs freedom too much... Shigure Kira had known Cecilia since she was a child. The time it took for her to go from being unconvinced to being conquered by Cecilia's actions was not short.
She knew the pressure on Cecilia's shoulders, and she knew how many eyes were on her.
These gazes pushed Cecilia forward, making her like a puppet controlled by strings, all her actions beyond her control.
And Cecilia would not resist. Her tolerance for injustice was even stronger than others...
If she had the ability, it should have been her, Shigure Kira, who took Cecilia away!
So although she looked like she wanted to bite Siegfried to death, deep down, she was still a little grateful to him.
And Cecilia was convinced that even if she ran away, Siegfried would catch her and bring her back, and then she might not be so "free."
With Siegfried's not-so-serious "Northward," a group of people really packed their things and headed up to the Siberian plains.
On that frozen land, the country was already corrupt and crumbling. While the rich feasted, the poor froze to death on the streets.
High-ranking officials embezzled military funds to live better, the middle class sold arms to live decently, and the lower class began to kill each other just to survive.
Cholera and uprisings constantly broke out on this frozen land.
In this vast country, only a few wise men were keeping this dying old horse alive with the body of a dying camel.
And Siegfried and the others were like a shot of adrenaline. Their strong intervention disrupted the arrangements of various forces in this land and eliminated many corrupt officials who fed on the blood and flesh of the people.
They did a lot. A few of them single-handedly infiltrated a huge military base, risking being riddled with bullets just to save a few residents who had been captured as experimental subjects.
They were also lured into an ambush by several warlords because of a little girl's cry for help, and narrowly escaped.
There was even a matter of life and death for thousands of people that was decided by Siegfried with a single word.
"Save them!"
One word, and the few of them went through fire and water, doing something that would shock everyone.
This... was really like a dream...
A dream called [Snow Wolf Squad].
And now... it was time for the dream to end.
"Miss Cecilia, we've finally found you!" The person who spoke was the Schariac clan member who had been with Cecilia since she was a child, taking care of her every move.
Her face was gaunt. The moment she saw Cecilia, she wanted to pounce on her and hug her legs. As she spoke, her eyes were always on Cecilia, as if she were afraid that Cecilia would leave again because of a moment of carelessness.
And beside her was a fully armed Schariac squad. The most advanced combat equipment from Future City already showed their strength.
As a special squad that was a match for an equal number of Kaslanas, Cecilia knew that even if all the members of the Snow Wolf Squad were here, they would definitely not win.
Now that she had the ability to resist, she should leave.
Cecilia went with them without any hesitation, because all her hesitation was well hidden in her heart, all the unwillingness and reluctance were controlled without a single leak.
She was just such a person, with a perfect control over herself that was beyond reproach.
Even though Siegfried and her companions were being held down behind her, even though Siegfried was roaring for her to resist, to escape, she did not look back once.
After all, from beginning to end, she was a victim who had been "forcibly" taken away. She had never lost control...
Only once.
"Please don't hurt them." Before boarding the plane that had found them, Cecilia turned back and said this, and only then did she step onto the road of departure.
And so... the dream was over.
Cecilia's life returned to normal. She was not unfamiliar with the things that had been separated from her for a whole year. She was still that flawless Cecilia, the "Saintess" that everyone looked up to.
It was as if that year of disappearance had never happened. She did not give any answer, and everyone seemed to have forgotten about it, until...
There was no until. The story should have continued like this.
Everything that a young man who dreamed of being a hero, along with a group of people with various thoughts, had done on that frozen land was hidden in Cecilia's pillow, and then turned into a drop of water on her pillow every morning.
Everyone was saying to her, "Fortunately, they didn't affect you."
She would only smile in response, and then hide her changes in the bottom of her heart.
No one knew that her sleep time was one minute shorter than a year ago, and no one remembered that a year ago, she would never open the curtains in the middle of the night.
She controlled it really well... there were no traces... only time was constantly advancing.
And another title gradually entered Cecilia's ears.
She had an engagement, and the object of the engagement was the current young master of the Kaslana family, the one who had run away from home for nearly two years and had only now returned.
A Kaslana could not be kept. The opportunity for the young master to be at home was rare. Cecilia watched as the elders of her family began to move, just to discuss this marriage with the Kaslana family.
A guess suddenly appeared in Cecilia's heart.
"Where did the young master of the Kaslana family come back from?" she asked the clan member who had been with her for a long time, and received a disappointing answer.
"It is said to be Future City... that guy is really different. It is said that no Kaslana has ever voluntarily gone to that place..." the clan member thought for a moment and then shared with Cecilia in amazement.
"After all, isn't there a saying in the Kaslana family? [Kaslanas have a disease where they fall asleep when they encounter complex things], hahaha, Miss Cecilia, do you think a Kaslana would fall asleep and never wake up in a place like Future City?"
"Perhaps," Cecilia smiled, and still no one noticed the disappointment she had controlled.
