Third person POV
"What is this?!" Basilio shouted in despair while running for his life.
His mind then added, "No way! Helicopters in this world?! What the flip is going on here?!"
Basilio then hid behind a brick wall of a building, before peeking over at the chaos the Vamzoms were causing.
Now, some of the armed Vamzom soldiers came down from the combat helicopters, became invisible, and started attacking the civilians with their swords, known as Blood Swords, and pistols, killing most of them and drinking their blood for their thirst. "Blood harvest!" one of them, one of the commanders of the raiding group named Maxim Alexandrescu, shouted while laughing like a maniac thirsty for blood.
His soldiers and the other squad then kept on attacking and slaughtering throughout the town as Basilio heard the attack and became scared of it.
Some Pantano soldiers were stationed at Fresa de Ard's barracks at that time, and they responded to the Vamzoms' attack, but they were outnumbered in number and strength and thus unable to repel them.
But then, later, unfortunately, Basilio got shot in the back by the bullets from the combat helicopters which cut through the thick brick wall, inflicting pain on him. "Ah!" Basilio responded in shouting and pain while vomiting blood from his mouth. "No way!!"
He then tried not to scream loudly to avoid the Vamzoms' attention while bleeding and oozing from his mouth and wounds, before grabbing his backpack and placing on his lap.
But after that, Basilio saw something from the alleyway in front of him: a girl who was scared, and three hooded, armed, and menacing Vamzom soldiers are going to hunt for her and abduct her. "Get over here little girl…" one of them said with a threatening and scary look on his face.
His two comrades then slurped their tongues against their vampire teeth.
As the girl got even more scared, Basilio, despite being injured badly jumped and rushed to the scene to save her by blocking the three Vamzoms' way. "Hey! No one's is going to hurt her, you monsters!" The girl and the three Vamzom soldiers were stunned at his response.
"Eh?"
"Hey!"
"What are you doing, huh?"
"Don't you ever hurt her!" Basilio repeated seriously and boldly while not caring what would happen to him next.
Pointing the blade of her Blood Sword, the female Vamzom soldier said with a smirk, "Oh, you won't budge, eh? Well, dinner is you...fufufu…"
Her two comrades then pointed their magical pistols at Basilio.
"Hehe…"
"Yummy human than her…"
"H-Hey, what are you doing?" the girl said to Basilio while being scared still.
"I'll be fine," replied Basilio to her, "just go and get to safety, now!"
Despite the fact that there was a chance of him dying in this situation, the girl nodded and did so, leaving Basilio to face the three Vamzoms with his backpack on the sidelines next to the bullet-hole-ridden wall. As Basilio knew that it was over for him, the female Vamzom soldier's two comrades shot him to death in 3 successive shots, causing Basilio to scream in pain. After that, the female Vamzom soldier and stabbed him in the chest with her Blood Sword, before having it sucked some of his blood. Basilio fell in pain before losing consciousness from the pain and collapsed on the pavement. His seemingly last words were, "Why now?! I was just starting in this world! Well…worth it for that girl to get to safety now…"
