The sun in Hope's Refuge shimmered with its soft, simulated glow—never too harsh, never too dim. The light danced off the polished walls of the personal simulation chamber, where Team Chaos had gathered for what was supposed to be a friendly training session.

In reality, there was nothing friendly about the way Ava twirled her adaptive dagger, the silver edge humming as it adjusted length in response to her grip. "Alright, people," she said, her grin sharp. "No holding back today. I want to see progress, not excuses."
Brian groaned, rolling his shoulders as he lifted his tower shield. "Define progress. Because last time, your definition of progress sent Kael flying into a wall."
Kael smirked from the far corner, tightening his grip on his greatsword. Sparks of wind and electricity coiled faintly around him, a subtle warning of his elemental merge. "And yet, I still stood up faster than you."
