Chapter 213 - Chapter 213: Paul VS Lucas (Part 2) – Mega Garchomp

Lucas fluidly tossed another Poké Ball into the air and called out:

"Your turn, Togekiss!"

"Air Slash!"

"Kiss~!"

Togekiss' pure white body soared from the Poké Ball, wings unfolding as it flew into the sky. With a graceful spin, it unleashed a barrage of slicing wind blades that rained down toward Hisuian Samurott.

"Aqua Dance!"

A powerful current of water swirled around Hisuian Samurott, rapidly spinning to form a defensive vortex. It deflected the incoming wind blades with ease—and even launched a flurry of sword-shaped water blasts back at Togekiss in retaliation.

At the same time, nestled within the whirlpool's protection, Hisuian Samurott's attack power surged.

This was an advanced version of Aqua Dance fused with Swords Dance—no spinning of the body needed, yet the same overwhelming effect was achieved.

"You can use it like that?"

Lucas blinked in surprise. Having previously performed well in a Pokémon Contest Festival, he suddenly seemed inspired.

"Fairy Wind, Swift, and Air Slash—combo attack!"

"Kiss~!"

Togekiss cleverly dodged the watery sword energy with expert maneuvers, then began to spin rapidly in mid-air. A swirl of pink wind exploded from its body—mystical and menacing.

Within the vortex were countless razor-sharp wind blades and gleaming stars, forming a fearsome fairy storm.

Once the tornado was fully formed, Togekiss dove into the center of it and charged toward Hisuian Samurott. The storm it carried swirled the earth, scattering stones and tearing up grass in its wake.

Paul didn't hesitate—he knew Aqua Dance alone wouldn't hold.

"Full force! Aqua Jet—Aqua Blade!"

Empowered by Aqua Dance, Hisuian Samurott launched into the air. With both arm blades drawn forward, its entire body transformed into a spiraling spear of water that plunged straight into the heart of the fairy storm.

BOOM!

The collision between the two forces triggered a massive explosion that engulfed the sky in a blinding white haze. From within the mist, a surge of water burst through and shot upward into the air.

In this clash, Hisuian Samurott's raw power clearly had the edge.

But in the very next second—Togekiss reappeared in front of Hisuian Samurott. The dragon lunged to slash with its blade—but a sudden flash of blinding light burst from Togekiss' body, dazzling Hisuian Samurott and throwing off its strike.

Dazzling Gleam—super effective!

"Aura Sphere!"

"Aqua Dance!"

Hisuian Samurott tried to evade but couldn't get clear in time. Activating Aqua Dance again, it managed to block the incoming Aura Sphere just before it made impact.

"Thunder Wave—then Ancient Power!"

A jolt of crackling electricity surged through Hisuian Samurott's body, leaving it numb and sluggish. In the same instant, a hail of giant glowing boulders rained down from the sky, crashing around it.

With no other option, Hisuian Samurott maintained its Aqua Dance shield to fend off the barrage.

But once it finally shattered the last of the falling stones, Togekiss transformed into a streak of brilliant light and dove toward it, a ferocious wind swirling around its entire body.

Sky Attack!

Seeing this, Hisuian Samurott charged to meet it head-on with Aqua Blade.

But the moment before they collided, Hisuian Samurott's muscles seized—the paralysis left it unable to fully muster its power.

WHAM!

Togekiss' Sky Attack landed clean. Hisuian Samurott's body spiraled downward like a broken kite.

CRASH!

It slammed into the ground with a second devastating impact.

Togekiss didn't let up. As Hisuian Samurott lay stunned, two consecutive Aura Spheres followed, striking true and finishing the battle.

"Hisuian Samurott is unable to battle. Togekiss wins!" the referee declared.

"Return."

Paul calmly retrieved Hisuian Samurott with a flash of red light and tossed out another Poké Ball.

"Metagross, prepare for battle!"

"Gravity!"

The moment Metagross emerged, its eyes flashed with eerie light. A powerful gravitational force engulfed the battlefield, multiplying gravity several times over—Togekiss was immediately dragged down, struggling against the oppressive weight.

"Defog!"

As she plummeted, Togekiss flapped her wings furiously, stirring up a strange wind that swept across the field. It blew away the Spikes left behind by Hisuian Samurott—and as it reached Metagross, the wind carried a prickly, numbing sensation that briefly clouded its will to battle.

But within a second, a savage gleam returned to Metagross' eyes.

Psychic!

With a burst of telekinetic power, Metagross crushed Togekiss mid-air and lifted its forearms—charging like a comet with a Meteor Mash.

But just before impact, a flash of red light withdrew Togekiss.

Lucas had already thrown his next Poké Ball:

"Scizor, use X-Scissor!"

"Sciii-zor!"

The Mega Scizor that reappeared launched straight into the attack, its claws glowing in a cross-slash as it clashed head-on with Metagross. The impact sent the Iron Leg Pokémon skidding backward.

"Psychic!"

Before Scizor could follow up, Metagross unleashed another wave of psychic energy, forcing Scizor to dodge.

But just as Scizor readied itself to counterattack, Paul returned Metagross into its Poké Ball.

"Mega Garchomp, battle stance!"

He released another Poké Ball—then calmly raised his left hand.

"GARRRRR!!"

"Sandstorm!"

At Paul's command, Mega Garchomp raised its arms and summoned a raging sandstorm that swept across the entire field. The fierce grains of sand lashed against even the steel armor of Scizor, leaving faint scratches—minor damage, but a sign of the desert fury to come.

A glint of excitement appeared at the corner of Lucas' lips.

"Bullet Punch!"

"Scizooooor!"

With its speed enhanced, Scizor shot forward like a crimson streak, closing the distance in an instant. Its metallic pincers fired off with explosive force, striking like bullets at close range.

Mega Garchomp immediately activated its primal instincts—its battle sense heightened in its blood-awakened state. It fought back with raw power, countering the blows, but the flurry of punches forced it back, leaving visible injuries in their wake.

"Fury Cutter!"

Seizing the upper hand from Bullet Punch, Scizor's claws glowed crimson as it unleashed a relentless series of Fury Cutter attacks, each strike stronger than the last, overwhelming Mega Garchomp with speed and precision.

"Earthquake! Sand Tomb!"

Despite the damage, Mega Garchomp showed no signs of retreat. It stomped the ground fiercely, triggering a powerful Earthquake that rippled across the battlefield, hammering Scizor with sheer force amplified by gravity.

With another mighty stomp, the terrain beneath them collapsed, dragging both Pokémon into a pit of swirling sand.

In the shifting sands of the trap, Mega Garchomp moved like a fish in water. Empowered by its Sand Force Ability—amplified through Mega Evolution—it synchronized the raging Sandstorm with Sand Tomb, then added Twister into the mix. The result: a devastating sand twister spiraled upward, imprisoning Scizor within the vortex, completely immobilizing it.

But Mega Garchomp didn't immediately press the attack. Instead, it leapt out of the vortex and began performing Dragon Dance—a ritualistic motion that bolstered its Attack and Speed, turning it into an even more terrifying predator.

Seeing Scizor trapped, Lucas quickly recalled it into its Poké Ball to avoid further damage.

"Hyper Beam!"

"Scizooooor!"

Re-emerging in a flash of red light, both of Scizor's claws gathered immense energy. A blazing orange beam shot forth, ripping through the sand vortex and scattering it to the winds—breaking free from the entrapment just in time.

"Dragon Pulse!"

Just as Mega Garchomp completed its Dragon Dance, it raised its head and unleashed a Dragon Pulse—a draconic wave roaring through the air, engulfing the still-vulnerable Scizor in its path.

BOOM!

An explosive impact echoed across the battlefield. Scizor was sent flying. Mega Garchomp, now fully in predator mode, lunged after it with savage intensity. Its twin blades glowed emerald green—Dragon Claw—as it dove downward to deliver the final blow.

"U-turn!"

At the critical moment, Scizor stabilized itself midair with a burst from its wings. It took the hit from Dragon Claw head-on, then converted the momentum into a red blur, flying back into Lucas' Poké Ball with a successful U-turn.

Just then, the battlefield's gravity field—the lingering effect from earlier—reached its limit and dissipated entirely.

As Lucas prepared to throw his next Poké Ball, the gravitational shift faded, returning the arena to normal conditions.
