The two burst into giggles, nearly toppling over in their crouched positions. But before Yan Rouxi could make another comment about Xia Yuqing's sex life, a familiar voice rang out behind them.
"Am I interrupting something fun?"
Both girls froze.
Rong Xi turned around slowly. When she saw Xia Yuqing's smiling face but cold eyes, her heart raced. "Oh crap. Rouxi, she heard everything," she whispered.
"Hehe..." Yan Rouxi chuckled awkwardly, like a kid being caught stealing a candy. "I can see that...."
Xia Yuqing stood at the gate, arms crossed, one brow raised. The moonlight glinted off her eyes, making her look every bit the terrifying empress she once was. Both the girls quickly stood up, one thinking how to defend herself and the other clutching her bubble tea as a shield.
Trying to save face, Yan Rouxi rubbed her nose and offered a crooked grin. "We were just praising you, Yuqing. Right, Rong Xi?"
