Angelica remembered that she had left her nightwear in here in the morning. She grabbed it and struggled to reach her back to undo the buttons of her dress. Not wanting to call Ian for help, she persisted until she finally undid all the buttons.
When she returned, Ian had already changed and was seated on his bed. She had not expected him to move on from everything so quickly. She walked to place her dress in her chest before turning.
She had actually gotten used to enjoying being alone again.
Ian sensed her stillness, he glanced at her and said, "What? I am not going to open the window tonight, or at least not while you are still awake.".
He winked. She scoffed, she was unsure if he was being serious or only making a stupid joke. Either way, she did not like the sound of that.
