Angelica looked at her reflection in the mirror as the seamstress, her apprentice and the two maids hurried to get her dressed in time for the ceremony.
If asked how she felt in the moment she would remain silent as she had nothing to say. She did not feel bad, neither did she feel good. However, one thing she had noticed was that the more the minutes passed and the ceremony drew closer, the more she was ready to go through with this decision to marry Ian no matter what.
She would not call herself adamant, no, rather, she would call herself assured. This was the final step in her plan to ensure protection for her family and their home and by family she meant her mother. She could care less about her father.
But her mother being the woman she was would blindly follow her father to the ends of the earth and in this case, that was not a good thing. She was not going to let anyone mistreat her or her family as soon as she became Ian's wife.
