A small, startled gasp left her lips, her eyes widening as the pain registered. "Romeo—you're hurting me," she complained, her voice shifting from seductive purr to annoyance.
I didn't acknowledge the sound. I just turned, dragging her off the bed. She stumbled, scrambling to keep her footing, the delicate sheer fabric of the lingerie offering zero resistance to the brutal force of my pull.
"Let go! What are you doing? I just wanted to talk about the—" she protested, her voice rising in panic. I didn't look back. I didn't slow down.
My focus was the door. My jaw was locked, the muscles rigid beneath the towel covering my face. She kept whining, her heels scraping across the marble floor, trying to pull her hand free, but I held her tight.
She had invaded my space, and now she was leaving it by force. I reached the bedroom door, pulled it open with a vicious yank, and flung her out into the hallway like she was a discarded suit jacket.
