Chapter 109 - Chapter 109: Amaterasu III

[3rd POV]

With the confirmation that Amaterasu was going to join her faction, Morgan could feel her Fanon maker trying to activate. But before it could, she paused it so that it would do it later. She did not want to make a scene just yet. Well, at least she didn't want to make a bigger one.

Instead, she ended that particular conversation, and began to speak.

"Since you've agreed to join us, how about you come and talk a bit more about the manipulations and things they've told you? I think it'd be best we find out everything that they have lied to you about, so that we can deal with any of the things you do not know about" Morgan said, as the woman nodded agreeing to the idea.

Amaterasu was inwardly still fuming as she realized that the people that she had trusted for thousands and thousands of years, had completely and utterly lied straight to her face. Not only that, but they had used her to get their way.

She didn't even know the full truth of it, but she wasn't dumb enough to think that they hadn't done atrocities in her name. Now she had to find out what exactly they had done.

"Good, then let's get this merger done with so we can talk about some of the most important stuff. Like dealing with some less than kind Gods that truly think that they can just manipulate others and get their own way. Committing atrocities and being openly bias" Morgan said with a smile on her face, very excited to take care of the Gods that were causing Yasaka so many problems, while also getting her very own Gods for her faction.

Later, after they had talked for another hour or so about what this grand merger would mean, Morgan had gotten to her own personal area so that she can safely and easily absorb her new ability from Fanon maker. That and she wanted to do it without having to worry about anyone seeing.

She wasn't ready to truly explain her power just yet.

She felt Fanon maker activate a few moments later, as she felt her chakra reserves grow slightly, reacting to the new power she had been given, as a strange substance formed around her. That substance - she realized - was ash.

[Ash Release | Kekkei Genkai - All kekkei tōta are both marvelous and terrifying to behold, and the Ash Release is no exception. Ash is the residual powder that remains after the combustion of wood or other organic material, and it is assumed that to generate such large quantities of it for the release combustive chakra is driven into the plants and ground near the user, which rapidly burns away all surrounding material. From there the ash will spread, reacting with chakra and natural energy alike to reduce reduce everything into a smoldering powder. Living entities are not the only things consumed, however, as the ash is strong enough to obliterate stone. When this occurs the ash takes on sulfuric properties, resembling pyroclasitc ash in its chemical composition. It can become highly acidic or corrosive, and the silicate particles from pulverized rock have been known to shred the lungs of those hapless enough to inhale it. Animals seem to instinctively sense this inherent danger, and will try and escape from the rapidly spreading gray cloud as it rolls across the landscape, a fearsome sight to behold

The Ash Release is a powerful kekkei tōta with dozens of applications. Its versatility is limited only to the user's imagination, making the release particularly intimidating. By releasing a cloud of ash or by infusing ash into the ground the user is able to incinerate an entire area. The ash will smolder and rapidly disintegrate any matter it comes into contact with, withering trees and crumbling structures within the span of a few moments. The effect is universal and indiscriminate, obliterating friend and foe alike, and only beings of significant energy reserves are capable of withstanding it. The ash will react with the chakra of a shinobi, turning acidic and slowly burning their lungs and eating at their chakra levels. The user themself, however, remains unaffected as their body is altered to accommodate the release, turning to ash itself. Unlike the ambient ash of the release, the ash composing their body is not gray or felsic, instead it is much darker and concentrated. This allows the user to completely regenerate their form, even after suffering attacks that should have been fatal. The most intimidating aspect of the release, however, is that by making direct contact with a target the highly concentrated ash contained within the user's body is transferred to the other individual, where it begins to spread and turn them into ash. The ash can also be ignited from a distance, meaning it can be used as a landmine or bomb to devastating effect, although its explosivity often depends on how much chakra has been infused into it. The Ash Release is also notably strong against Fire Release techniques, not because its nature allows it to resist but because the ash simply smothers the techniques, choking out the flames and swallowing the heat into its own embers]

The new kekkei genkai she had been given was quite impressive and genuinely useful to her. It would give her the means to pretty much turn anything to ash with little difficulty, and obliterating armies would become even easier through it.

She had a feeling that she could also imbue her power into this ash, so it would affect even Gods. Hell, she could potentially even enchant the ash midair as it surged towards the threat, turning them to ash even faster than normal.

It would be the best of her kekkei genkai's she decided.

After absorbing and merging with her new kekkei genkai, Morgan stretched as she made her way towards the meeting room with Amaterasu. They needed to talk about what she did and didn't know, and what they had done and what she had done.

It would be imperative that they knew all of this before she went to take care of the rogue Shinto Gods.

Walking into the meeting room, Morgan found that only Amaterasu and Yasaka were in the room. Probably because Amaterasu was not comfortable with the others just yet, having never actually met them before.

She had been kept away from others for thousands of years now.

Moving into the room, she smiled kindly at the woman who was evidently uncomfortable as she fidgeted in place.

"Sorry for the wait, I had some other business to deal with" Morgan said apologetically as she sat across from the woman, staring at her for a few moments before beginning.

"So, Amaterasu, what can you tell me about these Rogue Gods, besides the fact that Susanoo is almost certainly the leader of the group?" Morgan asked, as Amaterasu bit her lip.

"Hachiman, Ryujin, Sujin, Tsukuyomi, Takeminakata. They are the big ones that I think are in on it with Susanoo. He's not smart enough to do all of this on his own, even I know that. Tsukuyomi is probably the one behind it, not him" Amaterasu spoke after a few moments of thought, wishing more than anything that this was not true.

But deep down, she was very confident that it was.

"And what about minor gods? Your pantheon has many of them right?" Morgan asked, as the woman nodded.

"We don't really bring up our total, but we actually have around 8 thousand of them. Most of them are just minor Gods that are Ultimate Class, but there are a lot of them" Amaterasu responded, as Morgan's eyebrow shot up.

She was expecting like 8 hundred. Not 8 thousand. It would just mean there would be more divinity for her to absorb or give to others, and more Gods to join her pantheon.

"And how many do you think are in on it, or are a part of it, Amaterasu-San?" Yasaka asked as Amaterasu sighed.

"Half at least. I understand if that is too much for you to han-" "Hmm, shouldn't be much of a problem to deal with that many then" Morgan said, cutting her off with a hum, not really minding.

They were almost entirely ultimate class beings, with only a few being Satan class, and from what she can see, Amaterasu was the only one above Super class in power. The only other one that she could reasonably see being at that level was Izanami herself.

"Y-You think you can really take care of 4 thousand Gods? I can tell you're super super strong, but not even I can do that!" Amaterasu responded with wide eyes. Morgan glanced at her with a raised eyebrow.

"You sure about that, Amaterasu? Or do you not understand just how powerful you actually are?" Morgan asked, wondering if this was another thing that she had been lied to about.

"W-Well I'm way weaker than Serafall, aren't I?" Amaterasu asked with a tilt of her head, remembering Susanoo and the others telling her that just one of the Four Satans could kill her. So they could never be friends with them under any circumstances.

Hearing her words Morgan frowned.

"Well then, it looks like that's another thing you were lied to about. Because Amaterasu, you are easily the second strongest God in the entire world, and the fourth strongest being in general. As far as I know, the only ones that surpass you in power are myself, Ophis, and Great Red himself" Morgan responded, once again keeping Trihexa out of that list.

She doubted Amaterasu knew about that thing, if she had been lied to for so long.

"Bu-so that means I could deal with that meanie Susanoo by myself?" Amaterasu asked with a tilt of her head.

"Oh absolutely. You could deal with your entire pantheon by yourself if you really wanted. Susanoo is nothing in comparison to you. He is closer in power to Yasaka here than he is to you. And Yasaka is super class at this point, far stronger than him" Morgan responded with a smile on her face, finding the woman's awed face at her own power to be rather amusing.

Amaterasu looked completely confused on how that was possible. She had never thought of herself as that strong. Sure, she had nearly destroyed the realm of the Shinto Gods once when her favorite pig had been nearly killed. And sure, she had nearly slapped Susanoo to death once when he accidentally touched her butt.

But that wasn't that strong...right?

Well obviously it was, with how much this kind woman known as Morgan was praising her power and what she can do with it.

"Um...should I help you beat them all up then? Since I'm so strong?" Amaterasu asked.

"Nah, I can take care of them myself. It won't be much of a problem for me to deal with them, I've taken on worse" Morgan replied, waving off her concern. Morgan had taken out Hades who was stronger than 90% of the Gods in the Shinto pantheon, so it would be easy enough to take them out. And deal with the rogue party, however many Gods made up that party.

"Oh...okay. When are you going to deal with them?" Amaterasu questioned.

"I was actually about to head over there right now. All you need to do is wait here for a few minutes and then it'll be over with, alright?" Morgan replied, as the woman nodded.

"Okay"

"Great, now I'll be off!" Morgan said with a smile, as she teleported off a few moments later, one thought on her mind.

'...Time to deal with some Rogue Gods!'
