Finn was stuck—speaking up was risky, but staying quiet was just as bad. He'd been trying to get on Logan's good side, to edge Hunter out and take his place as Logan's friend. But now, the topic he'd brought up was brushed aside with barely a glance, and his throat tightened with frustration.
Then Riley spoke up with a smile. "Cousin, you're underestimating Logan. Owen's just an adopted son. Sure, he grew up in the Reid Family, got their education, and the whole clan sees him as the heir—but compared to Logan? He's nothing."
Finn's eyes lit up. "Exactly, just an adopted son! If you ask me, that kid needs to be taught a lesson. All adopted sons are the same—they fight the real kids for power without checking if they're even cut out for it."
Logan's gaze darkened.
A slow, almost amused smile tugged at his lips. "Oh? Is that what the Nelson Family thinks?"
