Everybody in the room froze, hearts thumping loudly and collectively as they stared at the figure floating effortlessly in the air.
His robe fluttered violently with each subtle movement, the fabric brushing against itself in a loud, almost menacing sound as he hovered precisely over the hole in the ceiling that had been blasted open moments ago.
'Grey Dawn? Dawn? Is that my family name? Who is this person? Do they know me?' Grey pondered inwardly, his brows knitting tightly in confusion and suspicion.
He slowly rose upright, taking a measured breath, keeping his composure as his gaze shifted to the two thin bracelets tightly fastened around his wrists.
"Who are you all? What do you want from me?" he demanded, his voice steady yet laced with restrained intensity.
The man paused, his eyes twinkling beneath the mask as he surveyed the room… eventually settling on the young warrior mage below.
