{Chapter: 376 Saving the Resentful Woman}

"I—I can't swim…" Jane flailed, panic flickering in her voice as the waves rocked her balance.

"Stop flailing, silly. Someone's playing tricks on you." White Queen popped up from beneath the water, grinning like a child who had just pulled off a successful prank. Ada surfaced behind her, water glistening on her sleek frame.

Jane blinked in confusion. "Wait—what…?" She realized she hadn't sunk. In fact, she was sitting atop something—solid and warm. Her eyes dropped down. "William!"

William turned his head slightly, flashing that wicked grin of his. "Good morning, princess. Enjoying the ride?"

"You—! Don't just sneak under people like that!"

"We've all been underwater," White Queen said as she floated nearby, looking far too amused. "Meanwhile, you two were having a heartfelt little chat above the surface."

Ada gave a soft nod, her voice light. "Pepper, it made me really happy to hear your words. I didn't expect that."

Pepper, still waist-deep in water, flushed bright pink. "No, no… it's nothing! I was just…"

"It wasn't nothing," William interjected, his arms gently adjusting to support Jane more securely on his back. "It was sweet. I didn't expect to be painted as such a lovable rascal in your heart, Pepper."

"You—heard that?" Pepper asked, eyes wide.

William smirked playfully. "Every word. Unless I suddenly developed selective hearing."

"You definitely heard it wrong," Pepper said hurriedly, waving her hands. "Your ears must be broken."

"Oh?" William tilted his head. "White Queen, what did you hear?"

"I heard it clearly." White Queen waded closer, mischief in her smile. "And, just in case our ears were faulty, I may have recorded it for scientific research."

"You what?!" Pepper shouted. "You're shameless!"

"Correction," White Queen said with a sly grin, "I'm efficient. And curious. Two virtues, if you ask me."

William gave a theatrical sigh. "We weren't trying to eavesdrop. We were just enjoying the water. You were the ones chatting like schoolgirls above us."

"You're all the worst," Pepper said, pouting as she turned away.

"Come now," William chuckled. "We're family. No need to get shy."

"I'm ignoring you all," Pepper declared and began to wade away.

"You're not going anywhere." William reached out with a quick motion and grabbed her leg. "Too dangerous to let a gorgeous girl wander off alone."

"Let go, beast!" Pepper kicked playfully, laughing despite herself.

White Queen looked over and spotted Jane still balanced on William's back. Her eyes sparkled. "Oooh, I want a turn on the turtle too!"

Without waiting, she leapt forward and landed on William's back, nearly knocking Jane off.

"H-hey!" Jane flailed her arms as she barely managed to stay upright.

"Haha! This is so fun!" White Queen stepped boldly onto William's lower back like it was a paddleboard. "A little unsteady, but manageable. And bonus: you're extra bouncy." White Queen stepped on William's buttocks with one foot and said with a smile.

Alice swam closer, tilting her head thoughtfully. "It does look fun."

"No!" Ada said suddenly, rising from the water. "I call dibs. Let me ride him first this time!"

"Too late!" Alice smirked and pounced onto William's calves, claiming her own "seat."

Ada followed suit and perched herself over William's thighs. "I'll take the lower deck, then."

"I want in too!" Pepper joined the chaos, scrambling back toward the group.

Alice extended a hand. "Come on, Pepper."

With a little teamwork, the five women were now either standing, kneeling, or clinging to William's broad, soaked back.

"Alright, Turtle-Man! Swim us to the horizon!" White Queen raised a hand like she was commanding a fleet.

William's face was deadpan. "Unbelievable… I'm a floating platform now."

"You're our royal steed," Alice corrected with a wink. "You should feel honored."

William gritted his teeth. "All of you… You deserve spanking. Right now."

And with a powerful heave, William twisted and tossed Alice and Jane into the sea, water flying everywhere.

"Waaah—I said I can't swim!" Jane flailed again, splashing helplessly.

William caught her wrist and pulled her back into his arms. His voice dropped into that familiar teasing tone. "Relax. As long as you've got an ass, you're safe with me."

Jane gasped. "What did you just say?!"

"I've decided," William declared dramatically, "fifty spankings. Equal punishment for boarding without permission."

"You—! You can't just spank my—my—my fart!"

"I think you mean butt," White Queen said from behind Jane, barely suppressing her laughter.

"Same difference," William smirked.

"You beast!" Jane shouted, slapping water at his face.

"You're not denying you sat on me willingly," William said with a wicked grin.

"You were the one underwater!"

"Jane can't swim," William announced, voice full of faux solemnity, "so I'll cut the punishment in half. Twenty-five spanks. No less."

He gently placed Jane back on the swimming ring, guiding her into a lying position like he was tucking in a child—albeit one who was already shrieking in protest.

"You wouldn't dare—!"

Snap!

A crisp slap echoed across the waves.

"WILLIAM, you bastard!" Jane shouted, kicking her legs in the water.

Back on the waves, Alice, Ada, White Queen, and Pepper suddenly exchanged glances—then wordlessly began swimming in four different directions.

William cracked his neck like a villain in a superhero flick. "Where do you think you're going?"

The women froze mid-stroke. Their limbs seized, held firm by an invisible force. Each of them let out some version of a groan or curse.

"William!" Ada said with a nervous smile. "No need to use telekinesis! We're grown women, and it's humiliating to—"

"Exactly why this needs to happen." William wagged a finger. "You plotted mutiny, clambered on my back, and tried to drown your noble steed. For this, your butts must atone."

White Queen raised an eyebrow. "You're just using this as an excuse to grope our asses."

William gave a wicked grin. "I don't need an excuse."

Snap! Snap! Snap!

A series of crisp slaps followed, accompanied by synchronized gasps and a flurry of splashes.

"I'll get you for this!" Pepper yelped.

"Traitor!" White Queen kicked water at his face.

"Wretch!" Ada shouted, trying to twist out of his grip.

Meanwhile, Alice's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Fine, beast. But when I get free, I'm putting sand in your pants."

From the shore, the sound of water slapping flesh filled the salty air, mingling with laughter and squeals. It was a scene that would've been deeply embarrassing had there been any other witnesses—but they were alone on the island.

Eventually, William released them, floating lazily on his back, utterly satisfied.

Beneath the swaying palm trees, Sif sat quietly with her arms crossed, her expression unreadable. But her fists were clenched in her lap. Her long raven hair caught the wind, but she didn't seem to notice.

She watched the others—William and the five women, now joking and laughing, splashing around like children. A strange tightness settled in her chest.

Why? Why did it feel like a pit was opening inside her? She was the one who'd chosen to sit alone. They'd all invited her. Jane had waved, Ada had smiled warmly, Pepper even called out.

But Sif stayed. And now… she regretted it?

She scowled at her own thoughts.

No. That's ridiculous. I have no interest in joining that fool's harem. He's a pig, a womanizer, an idiot…

But deep down, a voice whispered—

Then why are you angry?

"Why are you so warm and affectionate with all of them," she muttered under her breath, "and yet with me..."

She didn't finish the sentence. Instead, she clenched her teeth and turned her head away.

Meanwhile, William was finishing up, patting Ada's but with one final theatrical smack, like an artist signing his masterpiece.

He sighed, stretching lazily. "Each one has a different texture and feel. But all of them… deeply satisfying."

He slapped each woman's ass. It's true that different asses have different feelings when they are slapped, but the biggest feeling can only be described in one word, that is, very refreshing.

The five women all looked at William, the beast, with resentment on their faces.

The women surrounded him, nursing their sore rears with mock glares.

"You're such a beast," Pepper said, half angry, half laughing.

"He's going to regret it when we team up against him later," Alice added with a sly smile.

White Queen rubbed her backside. "My sensors detect a massive buildup of resentment from the shore. If left untreated, it may evolve into a full-blown Grudge Woman event with a knife."

William turned his head, following her gaze.

There she was. Sif. Sitting stiffly, arms crossed, shoulders tense.

William's smirk returned. "Ah… my favorite type."

Pepper looked confused. "Favorite type?"

"The kind who refuses to smile, then gives me a glare that could turn lava to ice." William chuckled, remembering. "I like the feeling of turning a resentful woman into a happy woman, which will give me a sense of accomplishment. For example, Alice, the former super resentful woman, wanted to kill me every time she looked at me. That resentful look is still fresh in my memory now."

Alice smiled faintly. "That's because I wanted to kill you."

"And now?" he asked, smirking.

Alice rolled her eyes. "Now I just settle for smacking you."

Ada didn't care and smiled, "Your taste is still as strong as ever."

William cracked his knuckles. "Time to turn this grumpy warrior goddess into a smiling sunshine."

Before anyone could stop him, he vanished.

A moment later, he appeared silently behind Sif.

She flinched slightly when his voice came near her ear. "Isn't it a little boring sitting here all alone?"

She snapped her head away. "Don't sneak up on me like that!"

William knelt beside her, unbothered by her tone. "C'mon, Sif. Don't be like this. I know you're just pretending to be above it all."

"I'm not pretending anything," she said coldly.

He leaned in closer, a gentle smile on his face. "I saw you watching. You want to join us."

"No, I don't."

"You're lying."

"I'm not."

William smiled and, without giving her a chance to argue more, scooped her up into his arms.

"W-Wait! What do you think you're—!?"

"Relax, Lady Sif. I'm taking you on a little quest. Destination: fun."
