"Grrr!"
A surprised growl came from Jeff as his body tensed up from the jolt of electricity.
The continuous discharge of electricity should have paralyzed his legs and knocked him down, squirming on the floor, like the times Nubia had tasered him in the past. But to Jeff's surprise, he was able to endure Klea's taser until it somehow ran out of battery.
"Maybe you didn't charge it enough?" he said, looking over his shoulder and seeing Klea's confused face as she stared at her taser, which had stopped working no matter how many times she pressed the switch and shoved it into his back.
"Or perhaps the battery got discharged," he added, prompting Klea to drop the taser and pull out her next weapon from her back pocket.
"Argh!"
This time, a painful scream came from Jeff as Klea used pepper spray on his face.
