Astraea's POV
The bell that was above the door gave a faint jingle as I stepped inside, following the woman who had finally, after what felt like a silent standoff that lasted way longer than I would have liked, unlocked the door for me.
Honestly, as I walked in, I'd expected the inside of the place to be just as run-down and dirty-looking as the outside, but I was wrong.
The shop had surprisingly clean black floors that reflected the overhead lights, and the walls were lined up with framed tattoo designs, with some of them being so detailed that they looked almost alive.
I could hear a faint sound coming from somewhere in the back, probably some sort of machine that was still running, but I didn't care to ask what it was since it wasn't any of my business.
