Chapter 85 - It's okay to cry pt2 ( ch 85 )

Morgan watched her move away… slowly.

Helplessness pierced him like a thorn through the heart.

—Wait!

( Morgan shouted desperately )

So he began to run after her, without thinking, without stopping, without taking his eyes off the dark sky where her silhouette was dissolving into the rain.

The storm did not relent.

Water fell with relentless fury, soaking everything, making the air heavy… almost impossible to breathe.

Amid that chaos, Luzbel's flight was clumsy.

Erratic.

Desperate.

It wasn't only the weight of her soaked wings dragging her down.

It was something far worse.

Much deeper.

Her mind.

Her heart.

Since Morgan's arrival, something inside her had stirred… something that had remained buried for far too long.

For years she had carried it.

She had resisted.

She had suppressed it.

She had pretended the past wasn't devouring her from the inside.

But that smile…

That image.

That face.

That memory.

That unforgivable event that should have never happened.

Everything came back at once.

And this time…

she could no longer hold it in.

Luzbel looked around in frantic desperation, as if the world itself were closing in around her.

Her breathing became irregular.

Broken.

Her wings began to feel heavier… and heavier… and heavier…

As if the storm itself wanted to tear them from her body.

As if the sky itself wanted to see her fall.

—Ahhh…!

Her voice cracked in the middle of the wind.

And then she began to scream.

A scream without direction.

Without meaning.

As if she were trying to expel something that was consuming her from within.

She grabbed her head with both hands, tightly, desperately…

and began to strike it.

Once.

Again.

And again.

As if she wanted to crush the memories.

As if she wanted to silence the voices roaring inside her mind.

As if physical pain could be enough to drown something far deeper.

As Luzbel struck her head, the memories began to surface with increasing violence. They were not simple memories: they were torn fragments, images exploding in her mind like lightning.

A flash.

Another.

And another.

Broken scenes, voices, stares, blood.

With every new memory, Luzbel struck her head harder.

First in desperation… then in fury… then with a pain so deep it no longer even seemed human.

The impact of her hands against her own forehead became brutal, uncontrolled. Her skin split open. Blood began to run down her face, mixing with the rain.

But she no longer felt the rain.

She had remained suspended in the air.

Morgan's screams, begging her to come down… to stop… to come back… vanished as if the world itself had gone silent.

Only the memories remained.

And the voice.

The voice of that image.

At first it was a whisper…

Then two…

Then ten…

Then hundreds.

The same voice multiplying inside her mind, drilling into her skull as if it wanted to break her from the inside.

—Stop… stop… stop… stop…

Luzbel struck her head with desperate violence, trying to silence it.

But the voice did not stop.

On the contrary…

It became closer.

Clearer.

Crueler.

—Hey, Luzi… —Are you okay, Luzi? —You're so cute, Luzi… —You're the best sister, Luzi… —Do you need help, Luzi…?

Every word was a blade.

Every memory was an impossible weight to carry.

Luzbel screamed.

She screamed until her throat tore apart.

She screamed until the sound turned into a broken roar filled with guilt and desperation.

And even so…

She kept striking her head.

Again and again.

Again and again.

As if she wanted to break her own mind just to escape.

Until the final memory arrived.

And then…

Everything stopped.

The image appeared before her.

That person.

Their body was pierced by swords.

Blood slowly dripped down their chest, staining the ground beneath their feet.

And yet…

Even while dying…

That person looked at her.

Their eyes were filled with tears.

Filled with sadness.

Filled with something far worse than hatred.

Pain.

And with a weak… broken voice…

They asked her a single question.

—Why…?

Luzbel's world shattered.

With one last suffocated scream, she struck her head one final time.

The impact was so strong that her body lost its balance.

And she fell.

She fell from the sky.

As she descended, her vision began to turn black… blurry… distant…

The rain disappeared.

The wind disappeared.

The world disappeared.

Just before hitting the ground…

She stopped seeing.

And then…

There was only darkness.

An absolute darkness.

Heavy.

Silent.

The voice had disappeared.

The rain no longer existed.

The pain was gone as well.

Only nothingness remained.

Until something broke the silence.

A voice.

Distant.

Faint.

—Luzi…

A murmur.

—Luzi… Luzi…

The voice faltered… as if it were coming from very far away.

But little by little…

It became clearer.

Closer.

—Luzi… Luzi… LUZI…!

( That voice said loudly )

—What…?

Luzbel murmured, drowsy.

Her eyelids felt as heavy as stone.

Then the voice called again.

—Luzi… Luzi… LUZI!

Luzbel opened her eyes abruptly.

And she saw them.

Again.

That person.

Her eyes felt wet.

As if she had been crying for a long time.

The figure in front of her looked at her with concern… with tenderness.

—Luzi… are you crying again? And this time why…? Did someone do something bad to you?

The voice was gentle.

Loving.

Luzbel looked younger.

Almost like a teenager.

Her hands trembled.

Her breathing was broken.

And then, feeling that it was too real… too close… too alive…

She threw herself toward that person.

She hugged them with all her strength.

As if she were afraid they would disappear.

And she began to cry.

Not a silent cry.

Not a restrained one.

A heart-rending cry.

—I'm sorry… I'm sorry… I'm sorry…

She sobbed against their chest.

The person seemed surprised.

Confused.

But even so…

They returned the embrace.

—Wow… I don't know what's going on with you… why are you crying…?

They said with a soft laugh, though their voice was filled with concern.

But they did not let her go.

They hugged her tighter.

As if they wanted to protect her from the world.

Luzbel could only repeat it.

With a broken voice.

With a soul in pieces.

—I'm sorry… I'm sorry… I'm sorry…

That person gently stroked her hair.

Patiently.

With a warmth that seemed impossible in a world like that.

—It's okay… it's okay…

They whispered.

—I don't know what's happening to you… and that's okay if you don't want to tell me.

Their fingers continued moving slowly through her hair.

—But if this is what you need… then it's okay.

They paused for a moment.

And spoke with infinite tenderness.

—Cry, Luzi… cry as much as you want.

Their voice became even softer.

—Don't forget that crying… is okay too.

Luzbel clung to that person even tighter.

As if her life depended on it.

As if that embrace were the only thing preventing her soul from completely breaking apart.

And through the tears…

Through the guilt…

Through a pain that seemed to have no end…

She said it again.

—I'm sorry…

Her voice trembled.

—Forgive me…

One final whisper escaped her lips.

—Samael…
