Captain America scratched his head. If he had known this, he would not have made the bet with Nick Fury, causing him to lose ten dollars!
Rhodes looked at Captain America's actions, guessed something, and said jokingly, "You will definitely lose! Right, Captain!"
Captain America sighed and had to admit: "Yeah! After I understood everything, I knew I lost!"
"Hahaha! Do you have the courage to make a bet?" Tony couldn't help laughing. It was obvious that Captain America at that time didn't understand this world at all.
Captain America was obviously a bit helpless against Tony. Until now, Tony was still holding on to the joke about him asking people not to swear in the sky.
The second generation Uncle Ben could understand Captain America's general psychological state. His memory of the last second was still of flying a plane into the ice.
The next second he woke up and found himself lying on the bed decades later. Then a man told him that 70 years had passed and everything had changed.
Anyone would have lost sleep if they were in his shoes, especially since he had promised to dance with Peggy Carter, but he broke the appointment. 70 years had passed and the beauty was gone.
At that time, Captain America didn't even have a friend to talk to, which was a huge blow to him. The fact that he didn't collapse mentally was a remarkable performance.
[In the ocean, Tony used a continuous palm cannon to open the cover of the submarine cable. The blue energy burst from his repulsors as he carefully worked underwater, his Iron Man suit gleaming against the dark ocean floor. After installing his own equipment, he shot upward, leaving a trail of bubbles behind as he broke through the surface and rocketed into the sky, the New York skyline visible in the distance.]
[He flew towards the location of Stark Tower while saying: "Great! Beautiful! Everything should be ready!" His suit gracefully maneuvered between buildings, the HUD display inside his helmet showing various calculations and power readings as he approached the massive tower bearing his name.]
[Pepper's voice is heard through his communication system: "You cut the power line and didn't connect to the power grid!"]
["Stark Tower will become a benchmark for renewable clean energy!" Tony looked very proud as he circled the impressive structure, its outline standing tall against the Manhattan skyline.]
["Well! The premise is that your Arc reactor can operate and work!" Pepper responded, a hint of concern but mostly confidence in her voice.]
["No problem! Turn on the switch!" As Pepper connected the power at the other end, the entire Stark Building immediately lit up, floor by floor in a dazzling display of light. The "STARK" logo blazed to life at the top, visible for miles across the city.]
["Is it beautiful?" Pepper asked him with a smile inside the mask, her voice warm with accomplishment.]
["It's like Christmas! But it's mine!" Tony looked at Stark Tower with great satisfaction, hovering in mid-air to appreciate the culmination of their work together.]
["Let's start marketing! You'll be in charge of the press conference! I'll go to Washington tomorrow to look for locations for the next three buildings!" Pepper immediately began to prepare for the next plan, always thinking ahead.]
[Tony interrupted: "Pepper! Don't be impatient! Enjoy the night view! Enjoy the romance!" He gestured toward the magnificent city lights spread out beneath them, the tower now the crown jewel among them.]
["How can you enjoy it if you don't come in?" Tony landed on the armor disassembly table he had prepared on the penthouse landing pad. Mechanical arms rose from the platform as he walked, precisely removing pieces of his armor with each step. The sophisticated system worked flawlessly, pulling away the red and gold plates to reveal Tony in his casual clothes underneath.]
["Sir! Agent Coulson from SHIELD is calling you!" Jarvis reminded Tony not long after returning, his crisp British accent echoing through the penthouse.]
[Tony got a headache when he heard Coulson's name: "Say I'm not here! What a good time!" He rolled his eyes dramatically, heading straight for the bar area.]
["Sir! I'm afraid he won't believe it!" Jarvis replied with what almost sounded like resignation.]
["Have some confidence! Jarvis! Just say I'm on a date!" He walked out of the dismantling station, the last pieces of armor on his body having just been removed. He stretched comfortably, enjoying the freedom from the metal suit.]
[Pepper looks at the holographic projection displaying various metrics and energy readings and says, "I think the current situation is stable!" Her fingers swiped through the blue-tinted displays, checking the tower's systems.]
["Of course it's stable! This is a project I personally participated in! Let me ask you a question! How does it feel to be a genius? Tell the truth!" Tony was a little narcissistic when he heard Pepper's words, pouring two glasses of champagne with a flourish.]
["Well! I guess I'll never know!" Pepper was amused by Tony's narcissistic words and turned around to look at him, her eyes crinkling with affection despite herself.]
["What do you mean? You should know that all this comes from you!"]
["NO! It should be from here!" Pepper pointed at the Arc reactor glowing softly through Tony's shirt, the blue light a reminder of both his vulnerability and his ingenuity.]
["Don't be so modest! Tell the truth! Stark Tower is like your child! You deserve at least 12% of the credit!" He handed her a glass, his expression playful yet challenging.]
["12%?" Pepper looked at Tony incredulously, accepting the champagne but raising an eyebrow at his statement.]
["Up to 15% at most!" Tony spread his hands in an exaggerated gesture of generosity.]
[Pepper walked aside speechlessly: "Kid, I only have 12% of the credit?" She moved toward the seating area, shaking her head but unable to hide her smile completely.]
[Tony followed up: "At least I do the hard work! To be exact! I sweat more than you! Oh! And! What about those security loopholes? They have to be yours, right?" He trailed after her, continuing his playful defense.]
["Oh!" Pepper picked up a bottle of champagne and looked at Tony helplessly, knowing there was no winning this particular argument.]
["My private elevator..."]
[Pepper corrected: "It should be our elevator!" She emphasized the word "our" pointedly.]
["Yeah! It's full of sweaty workers!" Tony sniffed, expressing his disdain with a dramatic wrinkle of his nose.]
["I'll make up for what I said about percentages! How about a gentle compensation?" He squatted beside Pepper and began to take remedial measures, his voice dropping to a more intimate tone.]
[Pepper curled her lips and handed him a glass of champagne, saying, "I'm afraid it won't be too gentle!" Her eyes sparkled with mischief.]
["I declare now! I will write your name on the next building!" Tony proclaimed grandly, raising his glass.]
["Let's write it on the property deed!" She said as she wanted to clink glasses, her business acumen showing through even in this romantic moment.]
[Tony put away his cup and looked at her with a smile: "Tell your mother that you won't be going home tonight!" His tone was suggestive as he leaned closer to her.]
["Oh! Haha!" Pepper lowered her head to hide her expression, a blush rising to her cheeks.]
[At this time, Jarvis reminded again: "Sir! Your phone! My program has been modified!" The AI's voice carried a note of concern.]
[Then Coulson's voice came from Tony's phone: "Stark! We need to talk!" His tone was urgent and brooked no argument.]
[Tony couldn't help but sigh and picked up his phone, pretending to be recording: "What you are seeing now is Stark's holographic image! Please leave a message if you have any questions!" He spoke with exaggerated formality, making a face at Pepper.]
[Pepper on the other side couldn't help but laugh at his antics, covering her mouth with her hand.]
["It's urgent!" Coulson on the other end of the phone said with a serious face, clearly not amused by Tony's performance.]
["Then leave a message quickly!" As soon as Tony finished speaking, the elevator door in front of him opened with a soft chime, and Coulson looked at him with a polite smile while holding the phone to his ear.]
[Tony spread his hands and complained: "The security system is also broken! It's all your fault!" He gestured accusingly at Pepper, who merely rolled her eyes in response.]
["Mr. Stark!" Coulson put his phone in his pocket and greeted Tony, his demeanor professional yet somewhat apologetic for the interruption.]
[Pepper smiled warmly and said, "Phil! Please come in!" Then she picked up the wine glass and stood up, walking over to welcome him properly.]
["Phil? I thought he was called Agent!" Tony raised his eyebrows in mock surprise, emphasizing the informality of Pepper's greeting.]
["I'll leave right away!" Coulson assured them, standing somewhat awkwardly just inside the penthouse entrance.]
["Come on! We are celebrating!" Pepper invited him in enthusiastically, gesturing with her glass toward their impressive view.]
[Tony complained with an exaggerated whine: "Then he has to leave even more!" His face showed theatrical disappointment.]
[Pepper gave him a displeased look, silently admonishing him for his rudeness.]
[Coulson didn't pay attention to Tony's words. He knew Tony's character well enough by now and went straight to the point, handing him a sleek tablet: "Please take a look at this as soon as possible! It's urgent!" His expression had shifted back to complete seriousness, making it clear that whatever brought him here was no trivial matter.]
