At this time, Algrim was engaged in combat with Natasha and Wanda. They both knew how formidable Algrim was. After all, apart from Wanda, no one else at Stark Tower had been able to hold their own against him.
Natasha kept up the pressure, while Wanda used chaos magic to attack continuously. However, because Algrim's warship was so maneuverable, Wanda found it difficult to target effectively. Natasha had to charge forward to buy her time.
She swung Mjolnir, predicting the trajectory of Algrim's flight path, and after numerous failed attempts, finally landed a successful hit.
The powerful impact of Mjolnir caused the warship to tilt sharply. Due to its high speed, it lost directional control and crashed into a nearby building.
The warship cut through the structure like a blade, destroying numerous load-bearing walls and columns before becoming lodged inside.
Wanda immediately flew over and prepared to attack, but other Dark Elves noticed the situation and redirected toward their position. They opened fire on Wanda as she hovered in the air.
Wanda was forced to abandon her opportunity to finish off Algrim and instead deployed a magical barrier to block the incoming fire. In the next moment, she spotted a warship heading directly toward her.
Unwilling to test whether her barrier could withstand a high-velocity collision, Wanda released her shield and dropped altitude to avoid the attack.
As the warship passed overhead, she concentrated her chaos magic and struck its power core, causing the entire vessel to explode instantly.
"Wow! That was impressive!" Rhodes witnessed this from a distance and couldn't help but admire Wanda's abilities. He had just expended significant ammunition to destroy a single warship.
She flew upward again, but Algrim had already restarted his damaged vessel, broken free from Natasha's engagement, and was rushing toward Stark Tower.
Natasha's expression changed to alarm. Algrim's warship had previously destroyed half of the building's load-bearing columns, and only the embedded vessel had prevented the upper floors from collapsing.
Now that Algrim had departed, the building immediately began to tilt. Looking at the terrified civilians still trapped inside, Natasha gritted her teeth and said, "Wanda, we need assistance here immediately! Tony! Can you direct the Iron Legion to support us?"
Wanda had intended to pursue Algrim, but after hearing Natasha's call, she realized the building was destabilizing. She immediately turned back and employed her chaos magic to stabilize the structure.
"Support units are en route. Hold position!" Tony was aware of the situation, and JARVIS had already dispatched the necessary units.
"Thor! Stop that warship!" Seeing Wanda occupied with the building, Natasha swung her hammer to pursue Algrim and called to Thor, who happened to be nearby.
"Leave it to me!" Thor, electricity coursing around his body, charged toward Algrim's warship from the side and crashed directly into it, punching straight through the hull.
At the same time, military fighter jets finally reached the battlefield. Prior to their arrival, several beyond-visual-range air-to-air missiles had been launched at the Dark Elf mothership.
The missiles had minimal effect. The Dark Elf mothership remained in position, showing no signs of significant damage.
"Target the central core of that vessel! The glowing section!" Ross shouted to the fighter pilots while monitoring the video feed through his communications system.
"Yes, sir! Commencing attack!" The four fighter jets passed the mothership, immediately banked around, and prepared to continue their assault.
But Malekith would not passively await destruction. The mothership's weaponry, previously engaged with the drone swarm, now targeted these fighters and Tony's approaching Iron Legion.
The devastating firepower immediately destroyed two fighter jets, and several Iron Legion units were also obliterated. The remaining Iron Legion units launched a counterattack against the mothership.
"Where are our other air force assets?" Ross stared at the wreckage of the two destroyed fighters with a grim expression and questioned his staff.
"Sir! Our forces were attacked before we could mobilize. The nearby airfield was hit, and fighters can't take off until we clear the runways. Aircraft from other bases are en route, but they'll require time to arrive!"
"Damn it!" Ross cursed in frustration and turned his attention elsewhere.
"What about ground forces? What's their status?"
"They've entered New York, and a small contingent has engaged the enemy, but the Dark Elves are moving too quickly! Our ground troops can't effectively target them!"
"Order any units not yet engaged to prioritize civilian evacuation. These invaders will have to be handled by the Avengers! What's the status of our artillery? Have them open fire on the mothership!"
Although Ross was reluctant to admit it, he had no choice. The Dark Elves' technology far surpassed Earth's capabilities. Conventional soldiers posed no threat to them. His only option was to target the Dark Elf mothership with heavy artillery.
Tony returned to the battlefield wearing the Mark Destroyer One, heading straight for the Dark Elf mothership, determined to neutralize their leader first.
At this time, Captain Marvel streaked across the Pacific Ocean, leaving a brilliant energy trail as she rapidly approached New York.
She had just finished dealing with a Hydra base in Western Asia when she received Nick Fury's alert, prompting her immediate response.
Thor had crashed through Algrim's warship, severely damaging it beyond control. Algrim abandoned any attempt to pilot the vessel and, after briefly engaging Thor inside, jumped through the breach Thor had created.
The warship crashed diagonally into the ground. Algrim landed and rolled forward to absorb the impact, with Thor in close pursuit.
Seeing Thor still engaged, Algrim raised his fist and swung at him. Thor didn't hesitate—he concentrated his power and met Algrim's fist with equal force.
The collision repelled both combatants. Although Thor had no leverage in midair and was thrown back more than ten meters before landing, a brighter blue glow appeared in his eyes the moment his feet touched the ground.
As lightning struck, the electricity surrounding Thor intensified. He charged toward Algrim again and delivered a leaping punch to Algrim's chest as the Kursed warrior was still recovering against a wall.
The blow was so powerful that even someone as formidable as Algrim couldn't withstand it. He was hurled dozens of meters by Thor's attack, crashing through several storefronts and colliding with multiple vehicles before finally coming to a stop.
Thor had no intention of holding back. He knew Algrim wouldn't be easily defeated. He raised his hand to summon lightning. With a deafening crack of thunder, an immensely powerful bolt struck Algrim.
The thunderous noise triggered car alarms throughout the street. Thor approached Algrim cautiously, uncertain whether this assault had finally neutralized him.
