Chapter 102 - Training? 2

The mere idea of a high-level god being able to strengthen their soul in a mere two days was concerning. It was either the method Benizaten's developed was scarily broken or that Diya was a complete genius.

Coming to her senses, Aphrodite quickly went to the whining goddess and grabbed her by the scruff of her neck. Almost as quickly as she entered, she whisked Benizaten away.

Diya on the other hand, is still fully focused on her training and did not even notice that Aphrodite had even 'kidnapped' her teacher.

After dragging Benizaten to the garden she arrived in, Aphrodite started shooting a barrage of questions.

What happened? How is her soul refining at such a quick pace? What exactly is her training? Why did you chuck a teapot through your house? Answer me dammit!

Lying on the ground, Benizaten simply sighed in resignation. "Honestly, I have no clue why her soul is refining so quickly."

Slowly sitting up, the goddess continued as she played with the immaculately groomed lawn. "To be frank, I only taught her the first step I developed for training the soul. But as you can see, her progress... frankly is monstrous."

The more the goddess talked, the more depressed she became. Going back to the day Diya arrived, she was really glad that such a person helped her practically kick away all the annoying gods vying for her attention.

She even gingerly taught Diya how to train and left her to her own devices after observing she was doing the right thing.

Hoping to make friends with her new trainee, she prepared her special tea and tea cakes to hopefully break the ice and start a conversation.

She was hopeful as Diya, since the moment she arrived, only showed the bare minimum of courtesy and practically jumped into training the moment she knew how.

Her dedication was quite awe-inspiring if Benizaten was being completely honest with herself. And that was where the problem began for the goddess.

The moment she entered the room Diya was training in, she was surprised by the amount of progress Diya had made in a mere few hours.

In video game terms, she practically increased her maximum power by around one percent during the time the beauty goddess made some refreshments.

Another thing is that no matter what happened, Diya was solely focused on her training when Benizaten placed a cup of tea in front of Diya.

She was completely ignored, as Benizaten sat to the side of Diya, saw that she would not be distracted no matter what, she sighed and tried to remove the tea.

In that motion, the cup slipped from her hands and spilt its contents on the scroll that Diya was using to train. And as a result, Diya released her power in sheer annoyance, causing the disaster on the mortal plane.

Benizaten explained everything that she had witnessed thus far and as she explained how that aura scared her, it also managed to piss her off to no end. Resulting in the tantrum that Aphrodite witnesses.

Aphrodite only gave the depressed goddess a dead look as she heard more and more of the story. Frankly, it did not seem real. First was a monster that could crush a primordial goddess and stand on even footing with the devil.

Next was her friend that showed enough promise that one of the most dangerous primordial goddesses Tiamat, practically kidnapped her, and now Diya, someone that using a method she just learnt, managed to strengthen her soul by what seemed to be an insane amount.

For reference, Diya's soul quality was now slowly but surely encroaching on the border of a primordial god. An insane feat that only one being she knew did, and from the story it was Marco.
