Gabriel entered the home with his brother, following behind coldly; the mansion was massive, and inside, it was open, with two staircases leading upstairs.
The floor was polished marble with a gray-and-white texture, and the white walls held pictures and paintings. His father, James Moriarty, chose the paintings. At the same time, the pictures had family portraits of the Moriarty family, ranging from Gabriel and Theodore to his father, James, mother, Eva, Grandparents, and generations of family.
Theodore grabbed Gabriel and turned him to face him. Theodore was still angry, with his jaw clenched and his iris hue of red.
"Don't you ever....ever do that again...I call the shots, Gabriel. I do!"Theodore said as he let go of Gabriel and angrily walked away. Gabriel frowned and went upstairs.
Upon entering his room, Gabriel sighed as he looked around. He walked up to his desk against the corner and sat on the wooden chair, his room was simple. His bed was in the middle against the wall, a red carpet in the middle of a designed blue butterfly, he had a balcony towards the training ground outside, a normal bathroom, and a closet room, a T.V hung against the wall.
Gabriel opened his laptop and began working on schoolwork. He had some projects to turn in for History and business classes.
He was enrolled in Europe's most expensive and prestigious school for one reason...
-Bam!-
The door swung open as a woman entered. She was tall, 5'11", with beautiful, long black hair that reached her waist in a ponytail.
"How's my baby boy!" Eva, his mother, walked up to him and hugged him tightly. Her purple eyes gleamed with adoration for Gabriel.
His mother wanted him to have an everyday life, even when she and his father, James, fought for what they thought would suit him, but he chose both an everyday life, even though it was challenging to be Normal, and the life of...he didn't know.
A mercenary? A spy? A hunter? A hitman? No, he chose a life that felt uncomfortable right for him, as if he had been born for it.
"I talked to Theodore... " Eva sighs as she caresses Gabriel's messy hair. Her eyes show a bit of sadness, but she hides it away.
"Look, Gab, I know you both were born differently. Theodore got to live a life of normal middle school, and all the way to high school, he... He lived like he wanted, but when you were born, you... we're different." Gabriel closed his eyes as his mother played with his hair.
"Just like your father... you were born gifted, even though Theodore is gifted as well...you weren't talented but a hard worker; you trained with your father, learned from him, sacrificed night to become like him, and... even tried to become like me...I understand how difficult it is, Gab. You were just...born more mature," Eva said as she hugged Gabriel, her son, and her sweet boy tightly hugged Gabriel and hummed.
Gabriel hugged his mother tightly, remembering how easy it was back then, but now he felt like a stranger to his body. He... can't make friends, he can't keep a conversation going with others his age, and...he hated it...hated himself
"Come on. I made some spicy curry. I have news to tell you..." Eva said as she grabbed Gabriel's hand and led him outside his room, downstairs, and straight to the dining room. The room was big, with a long table in the middle draped in those tablecloths. It was red with some gold outlines.
They alighted in the middle, where candles and napkins were. James, his father, was in the chair on the right side, and on the other side of the table was his brother Theodore, who looked still angry.
His mother let go of his hand, and he sat down next to Theodore, who made a 'tsk' while Eva went to the kitchen and brought plates of spicy curry with white rice and steamed vegetables to the table. She sat down next to her husband, James.
"Okay! First, we will meet Grandpa and Grandma in Russia, then..." Eva said as she looked at Gabriel, whose eyes widened slightly, and Theodore, who seemed intrigued. James was silent.
"We are going to stay in Japan with my sister!"
James began to eat while looking at his two sons, his eyes cold but with a hint of warmth, his blue eyes so piercing as if they could see through them.
"I have already enrolled you, Gabriel, in school,ol, and Theodore. You will attend university...but regardless, there is still work. Unlike here, your mother's parents are more... deep into Russia, just like me, your grandpa Mikhail especially," James said to his two sons, who nodded while Eva sighed with a wary smile.
Gabriel was interested, especially in how he had been wanting to go to Moscow
Capital of Russia.
