Zhang Jingdong and Ye Jinyan chatted a bit more with Ma Yun and the others, then followed them to the company's large conference room.
After some opening words, Ye Jinyan directly said, "President Ma, over the past couple of days we have basically reached a consensus on other issues, but today we invited Mr. Zhang over because we still want to discuss our final investment amount and shareholding issues."
Ma Yun interlaced his fingers and said solemnly, "Mr. Ye, I've already mentioned this to you before, 15% equity is our final bottom line, mainly because we don't actually need that much money at this stage."
Ye Jinyan persisted, "But now that the internet bubble has just passed, and your company's various businesses are rapidly developing, having more money on account can only be advantageous, not harmful."
Ma Yun shook his head with a smile, "Mr. Ye, sometimes having more money isn't necessarily a good thing; it can disturb people's minds."
