The Great Sun hung high, vast mountains towering, all things growing wildly, a stark contrast to the snow-covered Shu lands, like two different worlds.
At the edge of a cliff, bottomless, stretching across for miles, it looked like the gaping maw of a giant beast, making birds that flew by startle in fear.
Across the Flying Cliff, dense scarlet vines hung like iron chains across the sky, covered with thorns. From them grew a splendid fiery red flower, resembling a sunflower, towering three to four zhang high.
At this moment, a massive black bird with wings like dark iron passed above a certain section of the cliff. Suddenly, the vines seemed to spring to life, like the tentacles of a giant octopus, shooting through the air with a whoosh, straight like arrows, aiming at the black bird, blocking the void.
