Selena took a deep breath, rising under the dreadful pressure.
From her mouth spilled one ancient and solemn syllable after another. On her armor, as green as a dense forest, each rune grew wildly like vines, and pure gem-like flames ignited from Selena's body.
The flames upheld a verdant energy barrier. Within it, Selena's skin was so pale that every vein and artery underneath could almost be seen. Her body seemed to shrink in an instant, yet her eyes burned like blazing emerald fire.
"...Sacrifice!"
With the last incantation spoken, Selena spread her arms wide, and boundless green light gathered between her hands.
She took an archer's stance, and a torrent of emerald surged out from her bent arms, roaring skyward like a twin-winged emerald dragon, then slashed fiercely into the ever-expanding and majestic nebula like a flashing green blade.
The two forces collided, causing a vast collapse and distortion in the void for an instant, then locked in a standoff.
