Suddenly, loud howls were heard from the wolves surrounding the vines, as blue beams began to hit the vines from each of the wolves. They began to freeze each of the vines before Iris could improve her spell. Dante readied his blade once more as the wolves had begun to break through their makeshift barrier by brute force.
Iris' eyes seemed to widen as they broke through, seemingly figuring out something in her head.
"Hold them off! I have an idea!"
"Alright, but make it quick! They're putting a damper on how much flames I can let out with this frost!"
Iris closed her eyes and began to chant like before, the words seemed familiar to Dante as he figured it had to be the spell she'd been practicing for some time during her secret training sessions. Yellow sparks began to amass behind her, creating a buzzing sound, similar to a swarm of wasps. Each slowly grew in size as Dante swiped his flaming sword at the oncoming wolves, fending off each of them with quick strikes. Each recoiled by the strength of his attacks, yet their fur remained frozen and sturdy.
"Ya almost done there—!?"
"Hold them a little longer!" She beckoned, resulting in Dante grunting as he continued to fend off the attacks. Making sure to protect Iris from the danger of the wolves as long as he could. The clashing of his sword and the wolves frosted fur continued to blast through the dungeons' hollow and echoed walls as the buzzing finally came to a stop.
"It's complete…get back!"
"Right!"
In the moment, Dante stepped back from his position quickly as the wall of vines had finally been broken through by the pack. With them slowly approaching once again. The particles behind Iris slowly got pushed out, filling the floor with the yellow sparks. The alpha's eyes intensified and began to snarl as the wolves began to howl as they approached the two in their once secure corner.
Dante watched as the alpha stayed back while the pack didn't seem too bothered by the particles flying around them, he still kept his sword drawn in case they jumped at the two before the spell could go fully into effect. The sparks began to pulse as Iris brought down her wand in one swift motion.
"Polliniere!"
