This might be a question you have probably heard a hundred or thousands of times, but please think about it. What exactly is love? To be more specific, romantic love.
I have read countless books, watched countless shows and movies, heard songs about love for knows who can count and if it can be included, played a lot of visual novel that focus on romance. Yet I can never understand it. The thing called love is quite fascinating and annoying.
Why does such thing exist? Does it exist for human reproduction to be easily done? Having a connection called 'love' does make mating much easier, compared to just randomly mate with other human being. If not, does it exist... just because? No further reason, it just there, happening to people. Perhaps there's another reason for its existence. But what is it?
You might be wondering why am I asking such questions. There is no real reason. Perhaps, I can just say that it's because of boredom. Or maybe deep curiosity even. People treat love like it's one of the main components of being alive. To quote, "to find someone you can love with all your heart, is the greatest thing a person can experience in their life."
But is it really true? Does finding such person really is the greatest thing in life? You, have you find that person? If yes, how does it feel?
Is it really the greatest thing to ever happen in your life? If no, well... I guess we're the same.
If love really is the greatest thing that can happen in my life, then... I want to experience it. I want to fall in love. But... can I? Before I can find the answer, then I must find another answer for another question.
How can I find love? How can I achieve the "greatest thing" that can happen to someone's life? *sigh* there's so many questions, yet I can't find answers by myself.
