Chapter 169 - Finding a Way Forward [3]

Cedric had decided to spend the waiting time summoning the Angelic legions. They finally would serve God's will as intended.

[To all Legions.]

[Prepare for the Invasion of the Divine Realm. Converge near the nest I am in currently.]

[Deus Vult!]

Soon, tens of thousands of Guardians would flood the Land of Chalk, and the vanguard of silver would wash away all that stood in their path. Those who stood against the tide of silver would be cleansed together with Chrunus, be it a god or an elemental.

It had been decided that the new Cherub, Octavia, would lead the vanguard; she would lead the wing of the army that would deal with all the lesser gods that stood against them. Raguel would lead the second wing; she would cleanse all the elementals that served Chrunus.

And what was Cedric's mission? It was simple, end Chrunus once and for all. He would be cast to hell by God's chosen himself.

He had not expected to work alongside false gods; however, it seemed that they were more open to conversion.

'Tyrants never learn.' He shook his head.

How many tyrants had he seen fall in his life? Too many to count. They always believe themselves invincible on their gilded throne, protected by the most elite of guards.

At least Fortuna herself seemed to know her place, and upon seeing the light that were the Angels, she submitted. 'Even if it was in an odd way.'

Anna's and Fortuna's efforts swayed his opinion about every god other than Chrunus; perhaps they were not as unforgivable as he initially thought.

While false, they could be given a chance; they could discard their false titles and embrace life in Christ.

"Darling!" As if on cue, Aurelia appeared out of nowhere, clearly utilizing her new teleportation abilities to appear next to Cedric whenever she wished.

Cedric turned his head toward the eager woman. "What is wrong?"

"Nothing wrong, but since we are waiting for Fortuna to open a way for us, I thought that we should explore this town!"

"This is a demonic nest, you do know that? The only reason I haven't purged it yet is due to Sophia's plea."

Aurelia cracked a smile, "So what! If my darling is here, I would enjoy walking through hell itself!"

Cedric let out a small chuckle, "Sure, but first, I am curious to see those fallen and demons Sophia had offered salvation to. Want to come?"

"What kind of question is that? Where my darling goes, I go." She gripped his arm.

"Daddy!" Ariel's voice reached the duo, which made Aurelia wince in surprise and made both of them turn towards the Angel.

Soon, the eager Dominion stood in front of them. "Are you proud of me?" She smiled innocently.

While not in her usual small form, she wore a carefree expression.

"You did very well, Ariel. I am incredibly happy with your results." Cedric reached out, gently patting the Dominion.

Aurelia pouted, "I want pats too..." She grumbled.

The Dominion smirked as Cedric removed his hand from her head. She stepped back. "Is that my mommy~?"

Aurelia's face instantly reddened, "I... I... WHAT?!"

Ariel approached her gaze locked with Aurelia, "So, mommy, are you worthy of my dad, huh?"

Aurelia blinked and in a moment she peeled away from Cedric and placed her hands on her hips and exclaimed, "Nobody is more worthy to be Cedric's wife than me!"

"Is that so~ So when is the wedding?~" Ariel teased, her face mere centimeters away from Aurelia's own.

"I hope soon!" Aurelia blurted out.

Ariel's lips curled up, "Good, so Mommy~ Need me to teach you how to please Dad?~"

Aurelia's face reddened in shame again, "I... ye-"

"That's enough, Ariel! Why are you here?" Cedric ordered, and Aurelia was apparently uncomfortable with Ariel's teasing, so he had to put a stop to it.

"Ah, forgive me, I merely wished to meet the First Star." Ariel bowed deeply.

While she was terrified of Father's anger, she still knew that he would not kill her merely for acting according to her nature.

"I will rejoin Fortuna and supervise her until the portal is opened." She then turned to Aurelia, "And Mommy, enjoy your time with Dad ~."

Ariel bowed before turning and walking outside.

"Ariel is... curious." Aurelia's face was as red as ever. Ariel knew exactly what to say to her.

She knew she wanted the wedding, the Angel knew she wanted to pleasure Cedric, and she knew she wanted a child with him.

'She is terrifying... That is the Silver General Ariel...' She shook her head as she and Cedric made their way towards a master bedroom where Sophia spent her time.

While her behavior was odd, it did not diminish her image at all. Soon, they approached the bedroom doors; Cedric leaned on it before pushing it open.

As the duo entered, they found the two women kneeling, one had 2 pairs of pristine white wings and long white hair. The other had black hair, horns, and dark wings.

While in different circumstances, Cedric would have purged the woman without a second thought, it was different now.

She was not a mere fallen Angel. No, she did not bear the burden of false patron at all; she had embraced God and had shed her foul existence. And even more, she had a rather large collection of Virtues.

It was a fortunate development, something that had shown that Sophia was correct in offering salvation to the girl.

While her race was not Angel, it did not matter. Harpy might have been a step between purification and stains of sins. Both girls looked down at the floor, their wings fluttered from anxiety.

"I greet you, Father. I hope this town pleases you." She looked up; her gaze glistered with admiration as she looked upon the Father.

"This girl here is Elise, a former Fallen who had embraced your teachings." Sophia cracked a warm smile as she prompted Elise to speak.

Elise gulped, her wings fluttering wildly, "I.. You ... must be Sophia's Father. It's truly an honor to meet you. I have been taught by Sophia of your great deeds! I am honored to meet you!"
