It's finally here.
Ryan saw the missiles in the sky disintegrate suddenly. Without hesitation, he wrapped himself in ice. Sure enough, these micro missiles were all Honkai warheads, and their destructive power was unmatched.
Energy miniaturization, Vil-V, you really know how to cause me trouble.
A red fireball, resembling a pearl, exploded in the sky. From a distance, it looked like a series of light streaks.
The ice layer cracked under the bombardment. Fortunately, Ryan had the data on the array gun, so he calculated the heat dissipation time in his mind. But before the warship could fire again, a mass of black objects flew toward him.
These objects resembled the knights from a particular vendor but were much more agile. Powered by small Honkai engines, they moved at incredible speed, saving precious time compared to conventional flight.
Impressive—luxurious equipment, no expense spared.
Ryan no longer paid attention to the fusion warriors on the ground. Since this was Werner's command, Ryan trusted that, with his intellect, Werner would see something amiss. He snapped his fingers.
Ice Flower.
The giant ice block that had once been spherical shattered like a crystal flower, slowly blooming. With the second snap of his fingers, hundreds of petals burst apart.
Storm Advances!
In an instant, the petals accelerated from stillness to supersonic speed. The sky filled with trails. Each petal, half a meter in size, cut through the air like a giant machete.
Ryan watched as the Cocoon—those elite warriors—dodged with much more skill than before. Their equipment was better, and they deftly climbed or dived to avoid most of the attacks. The three warriors leading the charge cut through the storm, creating a gap.
'The Fire Moth's trump card—the upper fusion warriors created by Damian.' Ryan focused all his attention on these three, sensing their murderous intent.
From his experience in Sundown Alley, Ryan could tell that fusion warriors like the Cocoon were on another level. Not everyone would fight to the death like Kalpas had.
A weapon born of cruel experiments? How headstrong.
In the blink of an eye, the trio was within a hundred meters of him. But Ryan didn't hesitate. He turned around, and several air rings exploded behind him, propelling him forward.
The devastated land passed beneath his feet. Unlike Vinal and the others, these knights chased him without hesitation, as if they had forgotten the order to force him to retreat.
The black dots darted in the air. Ryan, not fearing anyone in terms of speed, darted toward the seaside. With a slash of his sickle from a distance, he controlled the wind and summoned the sea.
The giant waves surged!
The power of the wind controlled the water, turning it into a massive wave over a hundred meters tall. The liquid flowed rapidly within the crescent-shaped waves, like a water knife slashing through the levee. The knights behind him quickly scattered.
Two were a bit slower, and they were immediately torn apart by the waves, their bodies turning to blood mist. The massive waves hit the coast and suddenly stopped, disintegrating with an explosion!
The waves exploded into countless water arrows that rained down, covering the entire battlefield. But as the water arrows approached, they vanished without a trace.
They disappeared, as if wiped away by a wiper, leaving no drop of water behind.
"What kind of ability is this?" Ryan muttered to himself. Initially, he intended to strike hard with one blow, but the three warriors in front of him wore the same black armor, and he couldn't discern who had done it.
Now, Mobius' intel was proving its worth. With her information, he could avoid wasting time on probing and go straight for the target.
But facing unfamiliar opponents brought its own set of troubles.
Swish—
The remaining half of the ice flower vanished instantly. The lingering air dissipated without a trace. No prelude, no warning—it simply ended.
"The ability to control space is very similar to the second Herrscher's companion beast," Ryan observed. "This is troublesome."
He dived toward the sea, feeling the air vibrate again.
Without thinking, the explosion of air pushed him aside. He sensed an invisible, terrifying force pass by, causing a wave dozens of meters high on the sea.
"Ah..." The heavy armor, every detail lifelike, accompanied by the sound of "clicking," indicated the main guns of several battleships aimed directly at Ryan, firing in unison.
Bang, bang, bang...
The 400 mm shells rained down, blasting columns of water into the air. Their firing rate was rapid—so fast, it seemed humanly impossible to reload.
Round after round, the shells fell, and alongside the main guns capable of leveling an entire football field, the secondary guns—like a hedgehog's quills—fired, raining armor-piercing shells.
This wasn't just industrial warfare. This was the result of analyzing and reconstructing the First Divine Keys. As long as there was enough energy, there was no limit to the shells.
The sea surface surged with heat, and Ryan realized the "barrage" wasn't controlled by human hands. The shells fell from the sky, and the closer he got, the denser the barrage became.
Fortunately, this was the sea, and Ryan had enough materials to work with.
The huge waves surged, condensing in the air and forming dozens of ice walls instantly. The shells hit, causing ice chips to explode, but with a "boom," the steel warships collided and crushed them, one by one, with terrifying inertia.
"Even if he has the First Divine Keys, he can't take me down. The real threat is in other directions."
Ryan's eyes scanned the surroundings, his mind calm. Despite the fierce battle, he surveyed the entire battlefield with the perspective of a god.
"My speed is slowing. The Cocoon with spatial abilities will catch up soon. The sound-wave attacks have a massive killing range."
"Half of the Honkai energy remains. I've put a lot of effort into catching this big fish. At least one of them must fall."
"The barrage seems powerful, but it's not enough to kill me. It's more like a cover, which means—"
Ryan paused, spinning his body and releasing his palm.
Thunder opens the sky!
His sickle flew out, spinning at an incredible speed, cutting through everything with a sharp whistle. Ryan, with empty hands, snapped his fingers.
All things dormant. Space sluggish.
The scope of his authority was vast. Like a magic trick, a dozen flying disc knights suddenly appeared from the void around him.
They hesitated, confused by the sudden shift. Then, confusion turned to complete disarray.
Before they could process what was happening, a black "circular saw" cut through the air toward them. They tried to defend, but a sluggishness took over their bodies, and then—nothing happened.
Swish—
Dissolving at the molecular level, the sickle cleaved through the human bodies and their armor. And that wasn't the end. As Ryan's eyes swept over the field, the rotating sickle turned.
With extremely precise fluid control, like a boat drifting on the waves, the sickle changed direction in midair without slowing down.
It was like the flying sword in ancient novels, leaving a circular arc trail in the air. Within two seconds, Ryan had swept through the surprise attackers, clearing the area around him.
Boom!
A hot beam of light finally pierced through the ice wall, and the Honkai energy array cannon left a straight waterline on the sea surface.
The beam slowed in Ryan's eyes. He didn't bother to hide—he didn't even plan to. Instead, he raised his right hand, gathering more energy.
The knife is coming!
He took the sickle, turned with the inertia of his movement, and fought back with all his might against the incoming beam of light.
Split the sea!!
There was no sound—just the beam splitting down the middle as it whistled past Ryan on both sides. Dressed in white, Ryan stood motionless, only slightly bowing his head.
Swish—
Not only the beam, but the entire fleet was split in half. The sharp wind blades sliced through steel structures, and the sudden burst of wind pressure scattered them into pieces. With a "crash," the roaring sea split apart, extending a thousand meters away.
The warrior holding the Divine Keys saw this scene and his heart stopped. He hadn't expected his structure to be shredded in an instant. The helmet's detector began to blare an alarm.
3000HW of energy, combined with the three powers, could even dismantle the First Ruler into parts.
"Cover..."
Before he finished speaking, he felt the storm closing in on him. Lowering his head, he saw a massive bloody hole in his chest. The man, a kilometer away, didn't even look at him.
Storm throwing spear!
Pure explosive power. Since the man was the weakest and relied entirely on the Divine Keys, he had to be dealt with. But at the same time, two fatal threats emerged.
Behind him, above his head.
A terrifying Honkai energy approached from afar, but Ryan didn't care. Stretching out his right hand, he grasped a lightning-blazing blade and slashed upward.
Whoosh—
A ball of light, the size of a head, flew toward him. There was no terrifying sound, just the overwhelming speed. Even with time slowed, it reached him in the blink of an eye. The second sensation that struck him—
What incredible penetrating power!
The lightning blade collided with the projectile, bursting with a force that split the lightning. The two electric currents clashed, and the projectile disintegrated inch by inch.
Without looking up, Ryan already knew what this was.
"The second Divine Keys, Seven Thunders of Purification!"
According to Vil-V intel, this was a Divine Keys that could transform into seven different forms. The projectile was clearly a sniper rifle, designed for assassination.
If it couldn't be blocked, Ryan didn't care to stop it. Anyway, the time was almost up.
Ryan willingly shattered the Thunder Blade, just as the energy scattered when reaching the spiritual world point. Without any obstacles, the bullet penetrated his left chest, gravity compounding and pulling his body toward the sea.
Not fast enough.
Before the violent sound wave hit, his vitality was completely frozen, and he fell into the sea with a soft "plop."
At the last moment, Ryan raised his head, taking one final glance at the scene behind him.
There was no one there, only a crimson cloud, as if it had been set ablaze by fire.
