Jin-woo fidgeted due to the amount of gratitude washing over him. After all, he was partly the reason they were in this situation in the first place. He didn't know how they would react when they found that out, so he rather not have them thank him like this.
Unlike the young students, the two female and four male teachers were more composed as they thanked Jin-woo. They then did their best to settle down the forty or so students, before directing them to leave.
Jin-woo also advised them to stick to either side of the hallway as they moved while he stood at the center since he had a gun.
One of the male teachers suggested that Jin-woo hand over the gun and he would stay in the center to protect everyone, but Jin-woo rejected the idea, and to avoid anyone questioning his eligibility to hold a gun, he mentioned that his father was in the Marines and had taught him how to use it.
