Chapter 2 - 1.1

~a month later, the trade city of warm

Himmel's POV-

I took the meat skewers from the shopkeeper, handing him a few projected cooper coins in return, "thanks for the skewers",

I went on my way ,

'My projections last even as long as a month as long as I will them to, the one called Gaia from my knowledge of this body doesn't seem to exist here, which seems to make my magic even stronger...'

for the last month since I suddenly got thrown in a remote place outside the Turk Region, from the Central Lands, I have been traveling North, because I've heard that the demons have been on the rise after my death...

'guess even as old as I was, my presence still had a effect on the demon castle's leftovers', I sighed tiredly.

The hero party on the other hand.... I took on an irritated smile, 'Heiter seems to still be in the holy city strahl.... that drunkard..'

*sigh*,

'And from what I've heard Eisen was seen all the way near the fortress city Waal, but... that was 5 yrs ago, he might be back to the central lands by now', "and Frieren... I have no clue on how or where she is...",

my face scrunched up in tiredness, "siiiiiigh", 'well at-least money doesn't seem to be the problem hehe', I projected a few gold coins seamlessly as if taking them out of a pouch strapped onto my torso.

-Near Heiter's cottage

Currently Fern was firing magic projectiles against that rock , with Freiren behind her,

Fern cutely inflated her cheeks in frustration "why does it not reach there.."

Frieren sighed good naturedly, "As i said, It takes years of time and effort to get it right even for talented mages", she smiled down at fern who still had those puffed cheeks,

Fern looked up at her, "...alright", she faced down with a little frown ,

"Its okay", Frieren patted her , "you'll get there way sooner", they headed back to their home.

The last month was spent with Frieren trying to decipher the grimoire given to her by Heiter and teaching Fern, which she opposed at start, but honestly she was starting to like this little routine of theirs, the reason she came to meet Heiter was actually to just thank him for being there for her from the start as their hero part, her Eisen, Heiter and.... Himmel.

'I think now is when I appereacte those moments...', Frieren's face crunched up in a sad frown, eyes moistening.. before she sighed, relaxing her face, and following Fern who had left her a few steps behind...

*sigh*

....

-Himmel, warm city

"sneeze"

I sneezed, 'well probably Heiter over drinking himself again heh', I walked towards the terrace view-point of the dessert restaurant, you could get one mesmerizing view here, I stood at the edge, letting my hood fall, back, the evening winds hitting my face tussling my white hair , this felt.... rejuvenating, my face morphed into that smile of mine, "hehe. . ." I smirked playfully, "of-course I'm still as handsome, even in this new look",

I hit one of my poses i had got down for the statues, "the fierce look does add a bit to the allure", I slowly faced north-east, that's where the Grobe forest is...

...where Freiren sealed Qual,

my face turned serious, I used to check the seal's condition every year....

'but being dead for 20 years had me missing the yearly checks, well it should be okay and from how hard it is to sense any magical energy from here, the seal must still be in place, Although I should take a look just in case. I thought I'd leave it to Frieren after my death, but now that I'm back I should end things with that guy once and for all'.

....

-Continental Magic Association Northern Branch

in the Head quarters of northern branch of the continental magic association a golden-haired elf was currently watering her plants while wearing an aloof expression on her face,

"mmmm", she cracked a smile, it had been rather peaceful for these past decades, although small, the peace acheived by the hero party had indeed given a generation of young buds that didn't know of the terror of demons.

she stopped for a while to face in the southern direction, 'frieren...', she heard of the news regarding Himmel's death a while ago... and of how she cried on his funeral, Elves have a totally different perception of time than those of humans, a whole generation of humans could barely count anything to a elf's lifespan after-all,

"well she's quite young and immature with those childish beliefs regarding magic..."
