Mr Birch,can you please call some servants to clean this up,I said in a slightly playful voice as I tried to sit up from my bed which brought much pain making me wince from the pain
So to what do I owe the visit I asked as I stared at the grim faced man standing right next to the door,it was clear that he was suppressing his emotions ,this man was Victor Duvall,father of Jane Duvall my ex best friend who was murdered by me .
Never utter my daughter's name again you cursed creature he said as he pointed his index finger at me, lips quivering with his eyes bloodshot I'm sorry sir I said as I bent over and let the tears in my eyes flow , you killed her yet you had the nerve to lay here and say her name over and over like you didn't use her as a sacrifice to awaken your cursed bond weapons,vermin ,he said as he stormed out of the room . Diana rushed after him ,hey old man stop ,I said stop ,don't talk to him like that I've known him for a long time and I can guarantee you he'd never do such a thing, he's a good kid and he helps people a lot it was just an unlucky incident she scolded as his face twisted in a fit of uncontrollable rage
Shut up commonfolk scum he shouted as he made to slap her,rushing from my bed despite my injuries I caught his arm before he could assault her. Mr victor please just leave now,I said with blood running down my torso.
Hmph murderous devil he said as he slowly walked out of the door after freeing himself of my grip.
Lucien you didn't have to do that,I can defend myself, shouted Diana as she helped me sit on the bed before beginning to change my bandages . Lucien,who is Jane and how did she die,she asked with a sad expression.
Jane Duvall was my first best friend and my only friend at that time we used to play in the grasslands near the grand everglade forests every evening. So one day while we were playing time suddenly stopped as a fabric of space was torn open ,revealing a red dagger which floated in between both of us ,she was curious she wanted to touch it but I thought it was dangerous so I volunteered to be the first to touch it after touching it I went into a frenzy having my body taken over by the dagger I first killed a little rabbit then her cat which she loved when I tried to kill her other pet she ran with the dog towards the forest saying she'd never let me hurt it after I caught up to her I cut her and then the guiltbearer was made then both became my bonded weapons at the expense of my best friend's life ,I said as tears flowed freely from my eyes. I wish I could throw away these damned swords but they just materialize everywhere I go after I dispose of them
Lucien stop crying it's not your fault, you just happened to be there at the wrong time, please Lucien don't cry so much,I love you she said as she pulled me closer and hugged my maimed body
