Rachel shook her head. "I had to do that… I thought it was over between us."
Kingsly pressed his forehead against her cheek. "I know, so I was aware that bringing you back to my side wouldn't be easy. That's why I asked Leo for help."
Rachel said through her sobs, "But you still deceived me…"
Kingsly immediately turned her face to look at him. "Baby, do you think all the wonderful moments we've shared were just an act?"
"I don't know…" Rachel said bitterly. "If you couldn't forget Hanna, why did you keep saying you loved me?"
"My feelings for you are real. The only thing I deceived you about is…"
Rachel's eyes turned a dull gray as she stared at him. "You loved Hanna, didn't you?"
Unable to bear seeing her continue to cry, yet having no choice but to tell her the truth, he said, "That was in the past."
