Pietro vanished, while the Human Torch charged toward him like a raging flame.

Faced with this, Maximus merely offered a faint smile.

"Smile all you want; I'll make sure you can't in a second!"

Pietro thought coldly to himself, his speed increasing by another notch.

Though he was injured and his chest was still throbbing with intense pain, dealing with a Maximus was still well within his capabilities.

Suddenly, he saw someone from the Inhuman Special Ops team vanish from their spot at extreme speed, just like him. Holding a sharp dagger, they lunged toward Wanda.

"No!"

Pietro's eyes turned red instantly. With a low roar and ignoring the agonizing pain in his chest, he forced a change in direction and dashed toward Wanda.

Watching the enemy draw closer to Wanda inch by inch, Pietro roared inwardly.

Faster! Faster! Faster!

"Ah!"

He screamed in fury. As the pain in his chest radiated throughout his entire body, his speed surged abruptly.

Strands of silver energy swirled around him; at this moment, he seemed to transform once again into a streak of silver light.

An instant later, he appeared in front of Wanda. Just as the lethal dagger, like the fangs of a venomous snake, was about to touch Wanda's neck, Pietro grabbed the enemy's wrist.

The Inhuman Special Ops member froze for a moment, and Wanda's pupils shrunk as her heart went cold.

"Poof!"

Pietro spat out a mouthful of blood, his body going limp, yet he gave a gratified smile.

Fortunately, he had blocked it.

Under the pressure of his injury, he had surpassed his limits, but it had also made his wounds far more severe.

"Pietro..."

Wanda stared blankly at Pietro, a massive amount of crimson energy surging from her body.

Seeing this, the Special Ops member, Kia, grit his teeth. His dagger flashed as he swung his hand back, slashing toward Pietro's head.

However, a wisp of crimson mist had already coiled around Kia's wrist.

Kia's heart skipped a beat. He shook his wrist violently, trying to break free from the crimson mist.

But the mist was as resilient as an indestructible rope, binding him tightly and spreading across his entire body like climbing vines at incredible speed.

"Damn it!"

He screamed in terror, his heart turning cold as he met Wanda's icy gaze.

The next second...

Crack, crack.

A series of hair-raising snapping sounds rang out. The parts of his body wrapped in the crimson mist twisted into grotesque angles, his arms and legs hanging down like limp noodles.

"Begone!"

Wanda barked, waving her hand.

Kia, who had already passed out from the intense pain, was sent flying toward Queen Medusa like a cannonball.

A look of resentment flashed across Medusa's seductive face. Her bright red hair moved like writhing venomous snakes, reaching out to catch the incoming Kia.

At the same time, leaping flames carrying the Human Torch's fury transformed into a pillar of orange-red fire, swallowing Maximus.

But as the flames descended, a crystal-clear shield quietly appeared, protecting Maximus.

Maximus's eyes flickered, and an invisible mental force burrowed into the Human Torch's head.

The Human Torch's body jerked, and his transformation deactivated.

"See? Sometimes technology is quite useful."

Without a few tricks up his sleeve, how would he dare face the Human Torch's flames?

An energy shield, and...

Maximus smiled faintly as a gun appeared in his hand.

Now, with just a flick of his finger, he could easily deal with the Human Torch.

"Bang!"

The gun fired.

The Invisible Woman's force field shield blocked the bullet for him.

"Tch!"

Maximus muttered in disappointment. Upon seeing The Thing, Ben, charging toward him, he smiled slightly.

"Goodbye, everyone!"

As the words fell, a giant dog quietly appeared by his side.

He reached out and placed his hand on Lockjaw's head.

Just as Ben reached him, he and Lockjaw vanished from the spot.

The Thing stomped his foot in fury, creating a large crater. He turned around and charged toward the expressionless, indifferent former King of the Inhumans—Black Bolt.

At this moment, he was one of the few people present who could cause some trouble for Black Bolt.

Meanwhile, Barton, Natasha, Bucky, Rhodes, and Sam were also targeted by the enemy.

Bucky was like a cold, solitary wolf. When the Inhuman Lincoln charged toward them, he met him head-on without hesitation.

Zzzzt!

A flash of electricity sparked. Bolts of lightning appeared between Lincoln's hands, like glowing ramen noodles. Following the swing of his arms, they streaked through the air and struck Bucky.

"Aaah!"

Bucky cried out in pain.

Just then, a force field shield blocked the lightning for Bucky.

It was Susan, the Invisible Woman.

Standing in the center of the group, she had become the ultimate support with her force field shields.

Whomever she saw in danger, she would protect with a shield, creating opportunities for them to counterattack.

Crackle!

The brilliant lightning struck the force field, sparking continuously like dazzling fireworks.

Bucky's eyes were as cold as frost. His metal arm reflected a chilling light. He moved his body, slightly shaking off the numbness brought by the lightning, and then lunged fiercely toward Lincoln.

This bit of lightning was far inferior to Thor's!

But at that moment, an Inhuman blocked the way to Lincoln. He let out a howl, transformed into a werewolf, and said to Lincoln: "I'll handle him!"

"I'll leave him to you then, Romeo!"

Lincoln nodded and turned his gaze toward Barton and the other three, charging forward with several members of the Inhuman Special Ops and the government's super-soldiers.

A cold curve formed on Natasha's crimson lips.

"Barton, it looks like we're being treated as the easy targets."

Barton muttered, "I still really want a bow."

Though he was a top-tier combat expert even without his bow and arrows, facing these Inhumans with superpowers still felt a bit tricky.

"Tony! When are the weapons getting here!"

Rhodes shouted, looking toward Tony along with Sam.

Tony dodged a blast of frost and shouted back: "Veronica is ready to launch, but with this shield up, the payload can't get in!"

Hearing this, Rhodes and Sam shouted in frustration and began dodging attacks alongside Tony.

At that moment, the Inhuman named Gorgon stomped his foot from a distance toward the three of them.

When the hooves he gained from his awakening hit the ground, a seismic shockwave erupted from where he stood. The ground shattered violently, with cracks spreading out in all directions like the maws of monsters.

Instantly, the entire battlefield was a mess.

Tony and the other two swayed on their feet, carefully avoiding the spreading fissures.

"Watch out!"

Suddenly, Vision flew toward them, blocking a light beam for them.

The three men broke into a cold sweat, while Vision remained without a single mark on him.

He looked at the energy shield overhead and said to Tony: "Give me command of Veronica!"

"Done!"

Tony agreed without a moment's hesitation.

Streams of data flashed through Vision's eyes. While controlling Veronica, he calculated the strength of the energy barrier.

The barrier was very strong—so strong that while he couldn't shatter it completely, he could manage to burn a hole through it.

And that would be enough to bring in everyone's weapons and gear.

Vision's body turned intangible. After dodging a series of attacks, he flew upward. The Mind Stone on his forehead lit up, and a golden laser swept out.

Sizzle!

The energy beam collided with the barrier, and golden energy splattered everywhere.

At the same time, the Vision-controlled Veronica deployed the weapons toward their location.

Vision calculated the barrier's tolerance against the timing of the falling weapons, and the laser from his forehead surged in power.

A hole was torn into the energy shield, and the golden beam shot straight into the sky.

The next second, Tony and Rhodes' Iron Man suits, along with several weapon crates, flew inside.

Once the weapons were through, Vision ceased his attack, allowing the energy barrier to restore itself. With a light grunt, he flew down, carrying Barton and Natasha's weapons toward the two who were being surrounded.

"Fantastic!"

Tony cheered as his Iron Man suit flew toward him. Upon contact, the suit melted like a layer of water and flowed onto his body.

The next second, the Iron Man armor appeared on Tony, and the eyes on the faceplate quietly lit up.

Only then did Tony breathe a sigh of relief.

Amidst a crowd of superpowered enemies, he really didn't feel a shred of security in his ordinary human body.

"Rhodes! Let's go!"

Tony barked. The two of them ignited their thrashers and charged toward the enemy.

He was currently nursing a belly full of rage.
