Chapter 660 - Chapter 660 Don't Stop

'A good thing?'

Machi and the others understood something. As their thoughts paused, they were all left speechless.

Law looked at their reactions, his eyelids drooping slightly.

He could see it, and he could feel it too.

The moods of the three people beside him were not good.

There are many important people and things in a person's life, and there's no need to pick them out for comparison.

For Uvogin and Nobunaga, and even for Machi, the Troupe was more than just a team they had been part of for over ten years...

Uvogin directly drank from the liquor bottle, finishing one bottle in moments without even needing to burp.

Nobunaga didn't drink. He held chopsticks, constantly picking up dishes and stuffing them into his mouth.

"Tell me about the process," Law said, turning his head to look at Machi beside him.

Then, Machi recounted the entire process of their withdrawal from the Troupe.

Hearing that Uvogin and Nobunaga only made their decision at the very end showed that the Troupe held considerable weight in their hearts.

It was largely thanks to Feitan and Phinks's actions, otherwise, Uvogin and Nobunaga probably wouldn't have decisively left with Machi.

After listening to Machi's account, six empty liquor bottles were already piled up in front of Uvogin.

The restaurant owner's granddaughter carefully brought more liquor. As she turned to leave, she stole a glance at Machi, who was nestled beside Law, thinking that Machi is really beautiful.

Uvogin pried open a bottle cap with his thumb, took a large gulp, then put the bottle down and looked at Law.

"Law, are you planning to deal with the Troupe?"

Nobunaga stopped his chopsticks. Machi looked at Uvogin.

This question was something they both wanted to know as well.

Meeting Uvogin's searching gaze, Law nodded slightly and said straightforwardly, "That's the plan."

"Is it a must?" Uvogin pressed.

"Yes," Law replied without the slightest hesitation.

This was something they would have to find out sooner or later, so Law didn't want to hide it.

Uvogin let out a breath smelling of alcohol, then buried his head in drinking.

Nobunaga put down his chopsticks, looked at Law, and said calmly, "What if we hadn't left the Troupe?"

"Those who deserve to die will still die," Law replied.

After that, everyone deliberately avoided the topic.

This long-awaited reunion dinner didn't end very pleasantly.

That evening, the group of four left the small restaurant.

The owner personally saw them off at the door, while the cute young girl hid by the window on the second floor.

That night, while the girl was cleaning the room Law had stayed in, she let out a surprised exclamation.

The owner hurried over at the sound and saw his granddaughter holding a thick stack of banknotes.

"Grandpa, what is this?"

The granddaughter stared blankly at the owner standing in the doorway.

Seeing so much money, the owner was also stunned.

Among the countless banknotes, there was a note left behind. On it was written: The flavor was excellent. I hope I can taste it again in the future.

The owner pinched the note, stunned.

He had been planning to close the restaurant soon and retire from this line of work completely, but this note tugged at his thoughts.

The girl stood on her tiptoes and looked at the note several times, unable to resist asking, "Grandpa, what kind of person is Law, really?"

The owner remembered the topics he had discussed with Law over the past couple of days. A certain vein sealed deep in his heart was gently touched, and he said quietly, "A Gourmet Hunter."

"A Gourmet Hunter?" The girl tilted her head slightly, her face full of curiosity.

Perhaps it was out of selfishness that Law left this sum of money.

Having stayed here for two or three days, he could see that this small restaurant, steeped in the passage of time, would soon vanish without a trace along with the demolition and reconstruction.

Like a century-old establishment vanishing into the long river of time, Law felt a faint desire to preserve it, which is why he left this money.

After leaving, Law probably never imagined that what he changed wasn't just the boss's mind, but also that young, immature girl.

The night deepened. Law and his group entered the city, found a star-rated hotel, and stayed for the night.

Although Law's current assets could easily place him among the top ten richest people in the world, he was still quite low-key with his spending. He got a twin room for Uvogin and Nobunaga, and a single room for himself and Machi.

Facing Uvogin and Nobunaga's weird looks, Law justified it by saying, "Saving money."

And so, Law and Machi checked into the single room.

That night, the four of them went out and partied wildly.

Perhaps because they spent most of their time in deep mountains and old forests, occasionally they would even forget the hedonistic pleasures of modern society.

Night market food streets, KTV, nightclubs...

Everything that existed on Earth in his previous life was also present in the cities of the HunterxHunter World, even surpassing them.

Because the constraints of law were hard to see here. In any nightclub, you could see plenty of mafia members, yet they served as bodyguards for the customers.

After all, in the HunterxHunter World, even assassins could be a tax-paying profession, let alone the industries under the jurisdiction of the Ten Dons across the six continents and ten districts. There were plenty of legitimate, tax-paying businesses.

Watching Uvogin and Nobunaga clinking glasses and drinking in the nightclub booth, flirting with young, hot girls amidst the waves of music, Law felt a really strange sensation.

They went to multiple places afterwards. On their way back to the hotel, they passed by a barbecue stall and finished all its stock.

By the time they returned to the hotel, it was past 2 a.m. After indulging freely, Uvogin and Nobunaga's moods had improved a bit.

They went back to their respective rooms. Machi walked into the bathroom to shower.

Through the barely frosted glass, Law could see Machi's well-proportioned figure. Then, more and more steam built up, leaving only a blur of fair skin pressed against the glass.

The sound of pattering water coming from the bathroom was like a cotton swab gently swirling in his ear canal, unbearably itchy.

Law walked over to the outside of the bathroom, a mischievous smile hanging on his face.

"What are you doing?"

Noticing Law standing outside, Machi's wary voice came through.

"What do you think?"

As he spoke, Law pushed the door open, his clothes separating from his body at lightning speed and falling to the floor.

Then, Law strode quickly into the bathroom, closing the door behind him with a backward hand.

Taking another step forward, he felt his body bump into several Nen Threads. Looking up, he saw Machi glaring back at him over her shoulder.

Law reached out, gently brushed over his body, and severed the Nen Threads. Then he pounced on Machi, pressing her against the wall.

The hot water falling from above instantly drenched Law's body.

"Stop messing around." Feeling the pressure and body heat pressing against her from behind, Machi said helplessly.

Law chuckled softly, his hand wandering over Machi's fair back, finally stopping at the spider tattoo symbolizing her membership in the Troupe. He said seriously, "I want to remove this tattoo."

Machi was silent for a moment upon hearing this, then said in a low voice, "It's up to you."

Law channeled his Nen, wiping it over the spider pattern, erasing it completely without leaving a trace.

"This looks much better."

Looking at the now tattoo-free back, Law smiled slightly and pressed his body against Machi's.

Machi resisted symbolically for a moment before, with a soft gasp, she gave up resisting.

Amidst the pattering water, other sounds mixed in, like the sound of clapping hands.

Over ten minutes later, gunshots processed through a silencer suddenly rang out in the corridor outside, somewhat dense, followed closely by Uvogin's cursing and grumbling.

Hearing the noise, Law stopped, about to release his En to check the situation.

But Machi had a rough idea of what was happening outside… it was nothing more than people with a death wish coming for the high bounty. With Uvogin and Nobunaga there, there was no need to pay it any mind.

Her face was flushed. She reached back, grabbed Law's hand, and said in a low voice, "Don't stop."
