Chapter 461 - Chapter 461 9.13

The arrival of several people made the atmosphere in the area grow subtly tense.

Law glanced at the members of the Phantom Troupe. The gunfire ringing in his ears was no longer as dense as it had been at the beginning, and even the overlapping screams had nearly faded into silence.

Just by listening, this simple fact became clear… most of the guards in the Ohara Museum, as well as the bodyguards brought by the guests, had likely already been killed by the Phantom Troupe's members.

Uvogin, Feitan, Phinks, Franklin, Shalnark…

These were the ones who had rushed over, stepping over the corpses littering the ground.

The arriving Troupe members suppressed their shock and quickly assessed the situation before them.

Their leader had lost an arm, and the bearded man standing dozens of meters in front of him was holding a severed limb.

To the side, about three or four hundred meters away, Nobunaga was carrying an unconscious Pakunoda. Even farther away, a woman had restrained Kirlo.

"You're dead!"

Uvogin roared and charged toward Law, but someone was faster… Feitan.

Like a ghost, he melted into the night, swiftly overtaking Uvogin. In just a few moments, his figure flickered, weaving through high-speed movements as he circled behind Law.

Under the rapid motion, his wide black cloak fluttered in the wind. A glint of cold light silently flashed from beneath the cloak.

Feitan's eyes were like glaciers, his Aura flaring without any fear of being detected by Law. The thin sword hidden under his cloak suddenly thrust toward Law's vitals.

Law sidestepped, making only one move… raising the severed arm in his hand to block Feitan's incoming blade.

"Tch."

Feitan's pupils constricted sharply. Behind his mask, his lips clenched tightly as he forcibly halted his momentum, leaving an opening in his stance.

Law first used the severed arm in his right hand to block Feitan's sword, then extended his other hand, palm open, aiming to grab Feitan by the neck.

Feitan, suspended mid-air, bent his knees slightly and suddenly kicked off against Law's outstretched palm, attempting to use the force to retreat.

However, Law's foot, wrapped in dense Aura, arrived a split second later, slamming squarely into Feitan's abdomen.

With a dull thud, Feitan's body was sent flying backward like a cannonball, blood scattering through the air.

After kicking Feitan away, Law abruptly turned, swiping a hand over his face to remove his mask.

At that moment, Uvogin, who had already gathered his strength, was charging forward, his fist glowing with concentrated Aura, aiming to seize the opening Feitan had created.

Just as his fist was about to smash into Law's back, he saw Law turn around and remove his mask… making the same mistake Feitan had.

"Law?!"

Uvogin's body froze mid-motion, his gathered momentum dissipating like spring snow, his expression slightly dazed.

Without the distinguishing mark of Shin and without Law having revealed his identity beforehand, Uvogin had no idea Law had been wearing a mask.

"Sorry, but stay away from me for now."

Law stepped forward with his right foot, grabbed Uvogin's extended arm, and executed a one-handed shoulder throw, hurling Uvogin toward where Franklin and the others stood.

Compared to the kick that had injured Feitan, this throw barely harmed Uvogin… it only forced him back.

In that brief moment, the combined assault from Feitan and Uvogin had been completely dismantled by Law.

Feitan's flanking stab had been abruptly halted because he feared damaging Chrollo's severed arm.

Machi's Nen Threads could perfectly reattach it, and if the arm were destroyed, it would mean he had ruined Chrollo's chance of recovery.

Even during the attack, Feitan didn't understand where his opponent got the confidence to block his thrust with a severed arm… but the move had indeed worked.

Law knew full well that Machi could reattach a severed limb, and he also knew that Feitan was aware of this. That was why he had used the arm to block the attack.

After all, a mere severed limb could never truly stop a direct stab.

This was the role intelligence played in battle… and Law exploited it perfectly.

Then, by turning and removing his mask, he accomplished two things: first, making Uvogin recognize him, and second, forcing Uvogin to retreat without injury.

In that lightning-fast exchange, every one of Law's actions had achieved his desired outcome… repelling Uvogin and injuring Feitan.

It was worth noting that Law's kick against Feitan had held no mercy. However, Feitan's mastery of Ryu was also formidable, as he had quickly redistributed his Aura to defend, mitigating at least 70% of the damage.

'I need to seal the arm in the book to free up a hand.'

Law activated his Nen, stripping away the lingering Aura slowly seeping from Chrollo's severed arm.

Not far away, Chrollo sensed this immediately and expressionlessly closed the Aura Nodes of the severed limb.

"As decisive as ever."

Seeing that the severed arm in his hand had stopped releasing Aura, Law wasted no time summoning God Hand's book and sealing the limb inside before dismissing it.

In that instant, the initiative was completely in Law's hands. With just a single thought, he could erase Chrollo's severed arm from existence.

Chrollo understood that reclaiming the arm would be difficult.

In fact, given the situation, he had no intention of trying… nor did he inform his comrades, as doing so would only burden them with hesitation, just as Feitan had been restrained by his concern.

He remained silent, but Franklin and Phinks had seen Law seal the arm into the book.

The next moment, Franklin raised both hands, fingers aimed at Law, and channeled all the Aura surrounding his body into his palms.

He converted 100% of his Aura into a barrage of devastating Nen Bullets, firing them at Law like a machine gun.

This was an all-out Emission-type assault, one that abandoned all defense in exchange for overwhelming offense. It was the correct choice in this situation, as he had no need to reserve Aura for protection.

Countless Nen Bullters wove a terrifying curtain of fire, instantly enveloping Law.

These Nen Bullets were far more powerful than ordinary bullets… pure energy that couldn't be stopped or reflected by Law's Domain. The only way to counter them was through another effect.

While Franklin unleashed his barrage, Phinks also moved, sprinting to the side in a flanking maneuver, aiming to exploit any opening while Law was occupied with Franklin's assault.

Law noticed Phinks' movement, but his immediate concern was the storm of Nen Bullets.

He suddenly crouched, minimizing his profile against the barrage, and pressed his left hand against the ground, swiftly inscribing a Divine Script… choosing only the enhancement effect.

At the same time, he expanded his Domain and raised his right hand toward the direction Phinks might approach.

A flood of ribbon-like streaks of light passed over Law as he crouched.

A portion of the Nen Bullets struck the air in front of him, dissolving like snow.

Upon closer inspection, one would see countless tadpole-like shapes swimming within his Domain.

When they touched the bullets, they triggered God Hand's Ability to strip away Nen, neutralizing the projectiles entirely.

However, to achieve this, Law needed the amplification from the Divine Script. The drawback was that it confined him to a small area… but the benefit was that Franklin's massive expenditure of Aura was being nullified at minimal cost.

Though Franklin's relentless barrage failed to deal any real damage, it did restrict Law's mobility… and Phinks was closing in from the right.

To assist Phinks, Franklin demonstrated impressive control, reducing the density of bullets on that side.

Law caught Phinks's rapid approach in his peripheral vision and calmly summoned the Nyoi Bo, extending it abruptly to strike at him.

At the critical moment, Phinks crossed his arms to block the staff… but he couldn't withstand the force behind it and was sent flying.

Seeing this, Franklin decisively ceased fire, unwilling to waste any more aura.

And just like that, the coordinated assault of the four Phantom Troupe's members had ended in complete failure.

Law slowly stood up, his presence casting an invisible pressure over the Troupe members present.
