Issei Pov:-
I watched Shiro dodge Pisti's pounce, a small, chaotic whirlwind of flirting and panic. "Lucky bastard," I muttered under my breath, a familiar pang of envy hitting me.
A hand landed on my shoulder, smooth and confident. I turned to see Kiba standing there, a disarmingly charming smile on his face that suddenly made the air feel a few degrees warmer. "Hey, Issei," he said, his voice a low purr.
"H-hey, Kiba," I stammered, my heart doing a weird little jump. The look he was giving me was… intense.
"What's wrong?" he asked, leaning a little closer. "You don't have to be so shy around me." He then slowly, deliberately, licked his lips.
That was it. I yelped and scrambled behind Rias, using her as a human shield.
Rias let out a long, long sigh, the sound of a president dealing with unruly subordinates. "Issei, everyone in the peerage knows you're bi. Just accept it."
My face flushed. "I-I don't know what you're talking about!"

Shiro Pov:-
The sheer absurdity of the unfolding drama was enough to momentarily distract even the most determined hunter. Seeing my chance, I snuck up behind Rias and Issei while Pisti was still scanning the area for me.
I leaned in and stage-whispered, "Issei's a tsundere!"
"Fuck you!" Issei shot back, his face bright red.
"You wish," I retorted with a smirk. His eyes widened for a second, and he actually looked like he was contemplating the offer.
"Me and my big mouth," I muttered to myself.
"Is that all that's big?" Kiba asked smoothly, his gaze flicking down my body for a brief moment.
Before I could even think of a comeback, two voices spoke up with blunt, factual certainty.
"Hell no," Koneko said, her face completely deadpan.
Sona, who had joined the group, nodded in agreement. "His shit's huge."
My own face erupted in a blush that put Issei's to shame. "SONA! KONEKO!"
"I don't get it," Asia said, tilting her head in pure confusion.
"They mean the size of his—" Zoro began to explain.
I moved in a flash, clamping my hand over his mouth. "You shall not corrupt this innocent cinnamon roll!" I declared, holding the pure, confused girl in a protective side-hug.
Rias pinched the bridge of her nose, looking like she was seconds away from a migraine. "Just accept it, Issei," she said, her voice full of finality. "Kiba is in the harem along with me and Akeno. That's an order."
"…Fine," Issei grumbled, finally defeated.
Pisti, having given up her hunt, just watched the scene unfold with a bewildered but amused expression. This was my family. A chaotic, dysfunctional, and utterly insane family.

Back in the quiet halls of my castle, the adrenaline finally faded, leaving behind a bone-deep exhaustion. As I walked toward my room, a series of familiar notifications scrolled through my vision.

I was currently in my room, sitting on the edge of my bed. Voltaris materialized on my shoulders, his spectral form radiating disapproval.
"Okay, then," I sighed, bracing myself.
"Fuck," was all he said, the draconic equivalent of a facepalm.
"Alright, Voltaris," I said, getting straight to the point. "Tell me how my Balance Breaker works. The real mechanics."
He let out a gust of spectral smoke. "Okay. To sum it up, it's tied directly to your stamina. The more you have, the longer you can maintain the form. If your stamina drops below 500, the armor will destabilize and shatter, just like it did earlier. You didn't regain all your stamina after the serpent fight, which is why you couldn't hold it. If you'd been at full power, you could have beaten him more easily, probably without needing the Holy Avenger."
"How long can I use it with my full stamina?"
"Around ten minutes," he answered. "But that depends. Using magic while in Balance Breaker puts a massive strain on your stamina and will drain it much faster. If you stick to purely physical attacks, you can push it to ten minutes."
"Okay, I gotcha. But what about the power boost? How many points do my stats go up?"
"Currently, a flat one hundred points across the board," Voltaris explained. "But it can get better. You still haven't unlocked its full potential, not by a long shot. Neither of us has reached our peak."
I nodded, absorbing the information. A new thought occurred to me. "Hmm… well, in the Balance Breaker, can I switch forms?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, since I'm the King of a peerage, the system is based on chess, right?" I reasoned. "So I was thinking… could I have specialized forms? Like a Rook form for defense, a Knight form for speed, a Bishop for magic, or a Queen form that combines them all?"
There was a long pause. I could feel Voltaris's genuine surprise. "Honestly, partner… I have no idea. You're my first host. I have no past experiences to go on. But I can tell you this: that's a brilliant idea. It proves you're only just beginning to scratch the surface of the power we can achieve together."
A small smile touched my lips. "Hmm."
"Also," Voltaris added. "Check your stats. After all those level-ups and rewards, you should see a significant change."
