Avery had not expected such a visceral reaction from his mother when he brought up telling his father about her returned memories and true past.
He was not sure if she was ashamed of what she had done, or if it was truly so tortuous that she could not bear to recount what had happened to her.
"Okay, mom. I shouldn't have pushed you. If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. But what are you going to do about your memories now? You said that you could seal them away again. Is that what you plan on doing?"
For a few moments, Serena struggled to find and answer to Avery's questions.
She wanted more than anything to forget again and go back to how things had been before.
Yet, Avery knew about her now, and his own condition put him at risk. Something that she could not help him with if she forced herself to forget again.
The thought of sealing his memories and ability did come to her mind, but that was likely something that would be impossible to accomplish.
