Some time after Damien discovers that Lane is, well, Lane Allen, but before Lane admits it it's true - at this point, he is still lying about his identity, claiming that his possessed body is the only one he has, and that Lane Allen has nothing to do with him.
At one point, ML will try to give up on MC. He will stop pursuing MC, and will put some distance between them, trying to get over him and heal.
MC, naturally, won't like it. ML was supposed to be his. He has no right to move on! MC won't allow it! So, he starts pursuing ML again.
ML will try to avoid him, but he will eventually break down. "Why do you have to torment me like that? If you don't love me, please let me go…"
"Why do you do it to me? Lane, or whatever your name is… Please, just let me go…"
