Lane tilted his head. "No? I haven't been working as an Esper until now, so why would I?"
Well, at least haven't been working as 'Lane Allen', but that was unimportant. The licenses he had couldn't be transferred from one identity to another, unfortunately.
"But…" Clara furrowed her brows, still confused. "I saw you using your ability."
Lane only shrugged his shoulders with a smirk. "Well, yeah? But we've already established it was an unauthorized ability use, no?"
At his words, Eloise and Samantha instantly turned their eyes to Damien. They had already heard about it before from Clara, of course, but they didn't know how reliable that information was, considering her attitude toward Lane… But now that they had the confirmation from the man himself, they were truly shocked. Damien knew about his boyfriend breaking the law, and was OKAY WITH IT? Or at least TOLERATED it?
