Chapter 275 - Chapter 275 - Collecting All Possible Information.

[Chapter Size: 2400 Words.]

Third Person POV

Skellige.

...

...

"This was fun. But my back is a little uncomfortable..." As they stood up, Madara put on his kimono to cover his body, adjusting it, while Ciri also fixed her dress after putting it on.

They had fallen asleep in the middle of the beach on top of a mattress, but that didn't prevent a bit of discomfort upon waking up in the morning.

"Have I already thanked you for not being such a spoiled wife?" Madara said, looking at her with a smile.

"You think I'm spoiled, Madara Uchiha? Are you calling me spoiled now?" she mocked as she finished fixing herself.

"What else can you expect from a princess?" Madara teased. "They're usually pampered. If I recall correctly, you were quite spoiled."

"You talk as if you haven't slept in the worst possible places. We ran from all kinds of situations, and I even had to use you as a mattress a few times when I slept on top of you, not that I can complain much..." she replied, murmuring the last part.

"Besides..." She spoke again, approaching him, placing a hand on each side of her husband's face. "We could start having sex in different places, I won't complain about having a few adventures. What do you say, my husband?"

"Not a bad idea," Madara said, and she kissed him with intense desire. They were still two teenagers, and their hormones were running wild. Ever since he and Ciri had slept together for the first time, she had always had a fire, and he didn't mind that it hadn't faded after their marriage. In fact, it seemed to have intensified.

That made Madara think about a few things. "Ciri, are you using the herbs Yennefer provided?" he asked, pulling slightly away from her face.

Her eyes averted from his. "Not today," she said.

Madara narrowed his eyes, staring at her.

"Oh, come on, what's the worst that could happen? I get pregnant with our child?" she teased, seeing the way his eyes were fixed on her.

Madara stared at her in silence for a few seconds before sighing. Certainly, she wanted to be a mother — it was clear in her eyes, and he was somewhat uncertain about it.

"Still, start using the herbs to avoid pregnancy for now. It's not that I dislike the idea of having our child, but things are a bit complicated right now. We're dealing with a bunch of creatures and enemies," Madara said. "There's the Wild Hunt, those shadowy creatures, and also that very demon that's clearly after us," Madara commented.

No wonder Gaunter O'Dimm had appeared to them a few years ago, between fleeing from Cintra and the Battle of Sodden. Madara was certain he had appeared again almost two months ago — he had felt a strange presence during that horse race he and Ciri went to in the north of Novigrad.

"Our child would be the result of our love," she said, eyes shining. She was more emotional about the idea of having a child than rational. Madara knew women could be stubborn, and Ciri could surpass them all.

"Anyway, let's go to the main island. I'll just write a letter to the people at the castle and then we'll spend the night outside the castle and go to our house in the forest," he said, as she agreed.

Madara summoned a crow that bore his Sharingan eye, while he wrote a letter on a small parchment and placed it beneath its feet.

The only thing left on the beach for them was a small mattress. Madara put it back into storage and made Ciri cling to his back. Then he began to run through the sea, advancing toward the main island.

When they arrived at the lakeside house, they found the dragon lying down, the swords crossed beneath its chin, while, nearby, stood the Wild Hunt member himself, apparently awake on the ground, his eyes full of anger and frustration within his helmet.

Their companions had not returned to fetch him at that point on the island, and that was precisely why Madara and Ciri had not left the island and had spent the night there—to keep watch over the area. Even when they left the island, Madara himself had left a clone to guard the place, but there was still no sign of the group's return.

It seemed that bringing back a bunch of dead companions yesterday and the fact that the mage had not come back had become risky for the other side.

"You finally returned," Ignavros said in a tone of annoyance.

"Ignavros, why are you so angry?" Ciri asked in a friendlier tone, while the creature beneath the dragon turned its eyes to her, immediately widening them. It recognized her.

"That inferior thing keeps saying strange words all the time, insulting me… Hey, can I really not kill him?" Ignavros asked, looking at Madara.

"No. Not yet," he replied and stepped closer to the elf.

It seemed the creature had not managed to escape—perhaps because Madara had possession of his staff, and also because mokuton was not easy to deal with. In any case, Madara studied him for a moment before delivering a kick to his head while the creature still kept its gaze on Ciri. The helmet flew off as the creature roared in pain.

"Eithne naen dh'oine, en'raen?" [How dare you, human!] he roared, staring at Madara with bright blue eyes. His skin was white, his hair short, and his ears pointed. Certainly, Madara's kick had not only hurt his chin, but ripping the helmet off like that must have caused pain—his ears began to bleed.

"What do we have here? An elf invading our world and probably spouting nonsense about being a superior race," Madara mocked.

"Aen'seidhe dh'oine! Vaen naer aen!" [Inferior creature! You will suffer the consequences!] the elf shouted, while the dragon merely rolled its eyes, bored, as Ciri approached.

The elf looked at Ciri once more.

"Aen'ell'ea Larethorn... ess'na Ciriell! Tyen'nael d'aen esse dh'oine!" [You... blood of the traitor! You belong with us, even if your blood is stained, mixed with the inferior race of this man!] he exclaimed.

"Damn, it's annoying when people say things I don't understand," Madara said before slapping the elf across the face, making his head snap to the side forcefully, his eyes spinning dizzily.

When he looked at Madara again, the Uchiha's eyes were red. The elf didn't even have time to react before the Sharingan pierced directly into his mind.

Madara began to see everything the elf could hide after breaking through his mental defenses—which were not few—while he searched through it all: information about the other world, military tactics, culture, and language. He absorbed everything, taking every fragment of knowledge he could.

His eyes blinked ten seconds later, and the elf was stunned, panting.

"Aen'dh'oine maer'ell... ess'nael vaen raen?" [Look at you... Not even your companions trust you, do they?] Madara said, surprising Ciri and even the dragon, for he now spoke in the elves' own tongue. However, no one was more shocked than the elf himself.

The elf, astonished, looked at Madara with pure terror. He realized that this red-eyed human had invaded his mind—had discovered everything about his life and learned his language in a matter of seconds. If that wasn't terrifying, he didn't know what could be.

"Madara..." Ciri murmured, somewhat astonished. Madara smiled at her.

"It wasn't hard to gather all the information. I took all the knowledge for myself," Madara replied.

He then turned back to the elf before speaking again in the strange language. "Tyen'dh'aen esse aen'sidhe... mellan aen vail, aen raeth. Vaen, ess'narrae dh'oine... tyen ell'ea? Tyen maer caedh?" [I also know a bit more about how you function and even your war tactics. Interesting. Your race truly is strange... In your world, or rather, the world you invaded... You killed all the humans there, didn't you?] Madara asked, while the elf could barely look at him.

"Aen'dh'oine, ell'ea vaen'nael... shaelmaer ess'na vail. Tyen'dh'aen shae aen minda... vaen mellyd, caedh ess'narrae, madha raen." [But let me show you something,] he said with a smile.

"Aen'essë tyen vaen lorn nael, ess'narrae mell dh'aen esse. Aen'sidhe raen vaen'naer mell, shae aen minda caedh, vaen'dh'aen maer'ea mell vaen'narrae. Nael vaen mell — en'raen. Sharin'gan naen vaen esse dh'aen minda. Tyen'maer ess'narrae mell aen shae, aen seal vaen netha." [I know your mind won't last long now that someone has invaded it. It seems these elves are cautious enough to place a bomb in each of their comrades so that no information leaks. Not that it matters. My Sharingan is better than any mind-invading power. I managed to take everything before the seal even activated, since it takes a moment after your mind is penetrated,] Madara mocked, widening his grin at the elf.

"Aen'dh'oine... ess'narrae mell dh'aen esse. Tyen maer caedh, dh'oine, vaen shae. Aen'dh'aen esse shae raen aen'dor." [You like killing humans, don't you? You exterminated everyone in the world you're occupying now. But... let me show you what's going to happen to your land next. The moment you open a portal to your world, I'll enter it,] Madara said, and in the next instant, he activated his Sharingan once again.

The elf now saw not only his mind being invaded but also found himself in an illusion where he watched his own land being devastated. A giant of blue hue swung his sword, and with a single strike, split an entire city in half. The force was so great that it reached even the castle, making it vanish in an instant. He killed tens of thousands of people in just one move.

No one could handle the blue giant as he continued slaughtering elf after elf. His race was being completely annihilated by that colossal monster.

Then, the elf saw meteors falling from the sky, striking every place in his world.

When he came out of the illusion, he was terrified. He looked at Madara in fear, completely horrified. The elves of the Wild Hunt had no idea what kind of being they were provoking by pursuing the descendant of Lara Dorren.

The result of seeking Ciri would be, practically, the extinction of their race. Madara would have no mercy for the elves.

Both Ciri and the dragon remained silent. One could imagine that Madara had just sent a horrific vision to the elf. Those eyes that once held arrogance and superiority had vanished. The elf now looked at Madara as if he were a demon about to consume his soul.

The dragon snorted, already tired of the situation, but he didn't pity the elf either. He knew very well what that boy was capable of. Those red eyes — whatever they were — were terrifying. No other dragon knew about Madara except him, his companion. They had tried to take revenge for what happened in the land of dragons and ended up in this situation: one with his mind controlled, trying to steal from dwarves, and himself, reduced to a personal mount, serving under the command of that human.

It didn't take long for the elf's mind to begin electrocuting itself. Before he could react, he started bleeding from his nose, and when his head fell to the side, his brain began to fry from within. A scream was the last thing he managed, but it didn't last long before he collapsed lifelessly to the ground.

"So... he's dead just like that?" Ciri murmured. Her plans to interrogate the elf had ended much faster than she imagined.

"Yes, they placed some magical protections on the elves' minds... but don't worry. I got all the information I wanted. Besides, the Wild Hunt managed to find some interesting things while looking for you in this world," Madara said with satisfaction.

"What do you mean?" Ciri asked.

"They found a spatial rift in the Nilfgaardian Empire. When they investigated the anomaly, they didn't exactly find the source, but there's a rift there," Madara said, pleased to have finally obtained information about the portals of those dark creatures after years.

"That sounds great," she said, satisfied, as they heard a sound coming from the sky. A griffin was quickly approaching them, announcing its presence upon seeing them.

"He went out hunting in the morning," the dragon replied, as he had found the griffin himself there when they arrived.

"Totó!" Ciri shouted, as the griffin turned its attention to her, descending and landing. Madara, meanwhile, placed the elf's body inside a scroll, as he intended to study it later.

"Hey, can I go back to my land?" the dragon asked Madara.

Madara looked at him for a moment. He really didn't need the dragon anymore.

"You may go. But don't be surprised if I summon you again at some point. I'll reverse the summoning so you return to the place you were last time. And don't bother trying to help your friend — he'll be under an illusion I placed in his mind. Besides, if you try to retaliate by bringing more dragons to the human world, know that all you'll find is death," Madara replied.

His eyes gleamed, and a vision was cast upon the dragon. He saw himself flying in the sky with several other dragons the next moment, while a blue giant floated above them. The giant swung his sword, and, like bursts of blood, the dragons began exploding one after another. Hundreds of them died with just the movements of that blue giant's sword.

Ignavros was completely terrified, and before he could do anything, Madara reversed the illusion and cast him back into the sea, in the same place where he had been before being summoned.

As long as he wasn't a nuisance, Madara would let him return to his land. Then his gaze turned to Ciri, who was crouching down, stroking the griffin's neck as if it were a puppy.

Looking at Totó always made him think that griffins would kill any human who came close and would never be treated as a mount or a pet. But Madara and Ciri had done differently with this one. Madara had raised him since he was young and had managed to tame him. One could say that he, Ciri, and Totó were a family — husband, wife, and their pet.

Then they moved on to join the others. At least they would spend some time with their new family before starting to deal with the problems that were yet to come.
