And seeing this, Altheria's expression shifted, and a faint crease formed between her brows as she sensed the truth behind Nyx's composure.
The anger inside her was not loud or explosive in any way.
It was buried deep and was boiling hotter by the second.
Anyone unfamiliar with Nyx would have taken her tone at face value, but Altheria and Isha knew better.
They could feel the restrained fury coiled tightly beneath her calm exterior, like a storm that was waiting for a fracture to unleash itself.
Altheria hesitated, and her lips parted slightly as though she wished to say something, but knowing Nyx, she remained silent.
Isha, however, did not hesitate as her cerulean gaze dropped to Ethan.
"I understand that," she said steadily, lifting her hand and pointing subtly toward him.
"But what about him?"
