Third Person's POV
"While the battle was unfolding," Isha said slowly, "you missed the true danger closing in around Nyx's disciple.
The real threat to him didn't announce itself with fire or lightning."
Altheria's eyes narrowed instantly, and irritation flashed within them due to the annoying way Isha spoke of her being a lightheaded idiot for not knowing the whole thing.
"If you were able to detect such a danger," she shot back coldly, "then how could I not? You are even weaker than I, Isha. Don't try to fool me with vague warnings and half-truths."
As she spoke, arrogance crept into her expression, and her chin lifted slightly as she stared down at Isha with open skepticism.
In response, the white dragoness rolled her eyes, and the disdain in her eyes deepened, forming a silent clash of pride and knowledge between the two powerful women as the tension between them thickened and became heavy with unspoken implications.
