Ahead of her, the once-flickering fluctuation had finally stopped moving, as if the hidden figure had decided to confront her.
For a few seconds, nothing happened, and the silence between them stretched unnaturally only to be broken by the faint rustling of leaves in a distant breeze.
Seeing the stalemate, Altheria's lips twitched in irritation as she realized that this entity was still playing with her, but it didn't seem to know that her patience was not infinite.
Her expression turned slightly annoyed, and her voice cut through the still air, slowly and deliberately.
"If you continue to dilly-dally any longer, I will attack with my full power without hesitation, consequences be damned."
As she said this, a faint, dangerous crimson glow began to shimmer around her small hands.
"And even if that old spirit notices everything happening here, I won't care."
