Chapter 214 - Chapter 213: I Will Lead The Charge! (4)

-------

This time, Renata moved faster than the Ares Familia had anticipated.

Almost as soon as they sent their request, a massive shipment of supplies had already arrived at a warehouse outside Orario.

That warehouse had been built by Ares soldiers.

Though it had only recently been emptied, it was now fully stocked once again.

Thanks to their previous successful transactions, this latest exchange went smoothly.

Even though most of the Valis brought from Rakia had been drained by Renata, at least it had been well spent.

During past battles with Orario, most of his soldiers' wages had ended up in the pockets of adventurers. But this time? Nothing was wasted.

Now, as he gazed at the newly replenished stockpile of potions and explosives, Ares' confidence soared.

After countless failures, he could finally see the dawn of victory.

Naturally, Ares refused to let go of such a golden opportunity.

His previous victory had already clouded his judgment, and now, his muscle-bound brain was once again leading him down a reckless path.

Ares had become nothing more than muscle in human form.

The generals at his side tried to reason with him, but it was useless.

Seeing no way to change his mind, they reluctantly turned their attention back to the battlefield.

Regardless of Ares' impulsiveness, they had undeniably achieved an unprecedented breakthrough.

Now, before Orario's top-tier adventurers could make their move, they had to press the advantage and widen the gap.

Even if they were eventually forced to retreat, the gains from this operation would still outweigh the losses.

However, the battlefield is always unpredictable—and fate was already shifting.

Just as the Ares soldiers were planning its next offensive, Renata—having completed her deal—was preparing to turn the tables.

The moment she secured the Valis from Ares, she wasted no time and immediately passed critical information to Riveria.

The Sol Familia, who had been waiting for the signal, sprang into action.

With the aid of Kled's ultimate move, the group arrived much faster than expected.

The frontline battlefield has been completely dominated by the Ares family.

Orario's adventurers, humiliated and battered, had gathered like defeated roosters, their heads hanging low.

After suffering such a crushing defeat, they could do little more than remain huddled in place.

Riveria quickly took stock of the situation from the guild-appointed commander.

It was worse than Renata had even described.

Sure, this was just an advance force, and yes, the Ares Familia had received enhancements.

But still…

There was no excuse for Orario's forces to be overrun so easily.

Even worse, they had lost the stronghold that had been carefully prepared beforehand.

That position was meant to serve as a central hub for all the familias—a place where strategic planning and resource distribution could be handled efficiently.

Now, they had to scramble to find a new one.

Riveria's gaze swept across the dispirited adventurers.

At this point, expecting them to rally and charge back into battle was unrealistic.

These weren't just exhausted bodies.

Their very spirits had been broken.

With a shake of her head, Riveria led her team to higher ground, seeking a clearer view of the Ares Familia's encampment in the distance.

From afar, she could see an endless sprawl of tents, stretching across the horizon.

Above them, smoke curled into the sky as the smell of cooking food wafted through the air.

Even from this distance, she could catch the scent.

They're already preparing dinner…

At the same time, however, security was tight.

Groups of scouting soldiers patrolled the area at regular intervals, their movements precise and disciplined.

Among Riveria's group, Kled and the others had no patience left.

"The enemy camp is right there. I'll lead the charge and take down those weaklings in one go!"

"Calm down."

Riveria swiftly cut off Kled's reckless enthusiasm.

"The Ares Familia's soldiers may not be strong, but they still have plenty of bombs. If we rush in carelessly, a single mistake could cost us dearly."

She wasn't a battlefield commander, but even she understood the basics of strategy.

Charging in blindly wouldn't do them any good. If they were going to attack, they needed everyone to advance together.

"If we don't attack now, then when?" Kled shot back, his frustration evident.

"Are we supposed to wait until they finish their damn dinner? There might not even be a battle left by then! It's just a bunch of bombs—nothing I can't handle. I'll cut down any bastard holding one before they can even react."

Seeing the battlefield so close, he no longer cared about how he spoke to Riveria.

She might be great at managing the familia, but when it came to combat? That was his domain.

He had fought with the Noxian army, marching across the land with steel and blood. He had faced battle countless times, with swords clashing and gunfire roaring.

Riveria, on the other hand? She was far from a war-hardened general.

"I actually agree with Kled this time."

Irelia, standing nearby, crossed her arms.

"Intrigue and careful planning have their place, but not during a charge. Besides, Sol-sama told us to finish this as quickly as possible."

Several others nodded in agreement.

Like Kled, they had fought in Ionia's defense—they were warriors, not schemers.

Riveria sighed. She was no dictator, and she knew when to listen to reason.

"Fine. We'll go with your plan," she relented.

"But remember this—safety comes first. Support personnel, keep a close watch on the battlefield. I don't want to see any unnecessary casualties."

With the plan settled, the group quickly devised a simple but effective battle strategy.

Kled, naturally, would take the lead.

His experience alone made him the perfect vanguard, but more than that, he had a unique ability—his sheer presence could stir the emotions of his allies, igniting their fighting spirit.

Not to mention, his charge granted everyone a speed boost—a tactical advantage that made him the ideal spearhead.

And Kled did not disappoint.

With a thunderous roar, he surged forward—his cry echoing through the battlefield like a warhorn.

The air vibrated with a deep, stirring resonance, and suddenly, it was as if the mighty charge of the Noxian army itself had descended upon them.

Noxus, a nation built upon war, had perfected the art of battle down to the smallest details.

Even the sound of their charge was enough to make the adventurers behind them raise their heads in awe.

Inspired by the fearless assault, the rest of the group followed suit—racing down the open path carved by Kled's unstoppable advance.

Together, they stormed toward the Ares Familia's camp.
