Chapter 311: Return to Sea God Island
In the Divine Realm, within the Sea God's Temple, Sea God Poseidon gazed intently at the large mirror in the temple's center, a look of concern on his face. Just then, a flash of red light filled the hall as the God of Shura appeared, his expression somewhat displeased.
"Poseidon, I was in the middle of my rounds across the realms. What is it that requires my urgent attention?" Shura God asked.
Poseidon, his expression turning grave, gestured to the mirror, which immediately displayed the recent events in the Star Dou Forest, particularly the battle involving Yang Potian. The images revealed Di Tian and Sr. Xiong's appearances, as well as a flash of silvery light—an energy even more powerful than Di Tian's.
Watching the entire scene, Poseidon's expression darkened. "Shura, though I ascended from the Douluo Star, even I didn't realize such powerful beings existed there. That silver dragon and black dragon—both are far from ordinary."
Shura God remained silent, offering no response to Poseidon's statement.
Poseidon, a glimmer of suspicion in his gaze, finally asked, "You already knew, didn't you? That these two dragons were on the Douluo Star?"
Without a word, Shura God's silence was an answer in itself.
Poseidon's face grew angry. "What does this mean, Shura? The black dragon alone may be of little concern, but the silver dragon's power is beyond measure. I can't even see through it. Although it's suppressed to Rank 99 by the laws of the Douluo Star, it seems to be carrying a seal as well."
Shura sighed deeply. "Poseidon, stay out of this matter. I'll handle it."
Poseidon pressed further. "What do you mean? Are these two dragons of divine origin? Could they be from the Divine Realm itself?"
Glancing toward the Divine Realm's core, Shura God's voice softened. "This is a matter of utmost secrecy, one known only to the earliest gods. No one speaks of it, and neither should you. Above all, don't tell Evil God."
Poseidon fell silent, sensing the unprecedented gravity of Shura's warning.
After a lengthy pause, Poseidon finally shared his concern. "But with these two dragons there, won't it interfere with our successors' divine trials? I won't stand for any last-minute failure."
"There's no need to worry," Shura assured him. "Yang Potian wields my Asura Demon Sword, which should be enough to keep the two dragons at bay."
"But I sensed some sort of conspiracy at work. It feels as if they're scheming against the Divine Realm itself."
Shura dismissed his concerns. "Two dragons alone cannot threaten us. Let it be."
At that, Poseidon understood Shura's intent. Whatever these dragons' origins, they were likely connected to Shura God himself. Both gods fell silent, the topic closed.
Back on the Douluo Continent, Yang Potian spent a few days at home in Tianxing Academy, especially cherishing his time with Ye Lingling. Only with her did he feel he had truly returned home.
Ye Lingling, looking somewhat anxious, asked, "Potian, will this trip be dangerous? Let me go with you."
He shook his head. "There shouldn't be any real danger. It's just a long distance, and I'll likely be away for a few months. Just focus on your cultivation while I'm gone, and I'll be back before you know it."
With that, Yang Potian handed her the Titan Giant Ape's left arm spirit bone. "Lingling, you don't yet have a left arm spirit bone. This hundred-thousand-year bone will enhance your offensive power too."
Before she could refuse, he planted a kiss on her forehead. The vibrant energy she radiated was something he had always loved.
The following morning, Yang Potian spread his wings and set off from Tianxing Academy. His first stop was Hanhai City. While passing through its outskirts, he sensed the auras of Titan and the Shrek Seven Devils.
Yang Potian's expression grew dark, a fierce light flashing in his eyes. After a moment's consideration, though, he merely shook his head, choosing to leave them be.
Now, neither the Golden Iron Triangle nor Titan posed any real threat to him. Killing them would be effortless. But killing Yu Xiaogang might drive Bibi Dong to madness. He still intended to use Bibi Dong and the Wuhun Empire as a counterbalance to Di Tian and the other soul beasts. Given his complicated relationship with Qian Renxue, he had no desire to provoke Bibi Dong unnecessarily.
With one last glance at Hanhai City, Yang Potian flew southwest over the open ocean. The vast expanse held no landmarks or guiding signs, making it easy for an ordinary person to lose their way. However, Yang Potian was now powerful enough to sense the faith energy within the sea itself.
The Sea God was revered by all sea spirit masters and sea spirit beasts, and the place where the faith energy was most concentrated—that would be Sea God Island.
After two days of swift travel, Yang Potian arrived at Sea God Island.
Upon arrival, he quickly sensed Tang San's group undergoing their trials in the Vast Wave Crisis. They seemed to be past the midway point of their trials, with Tang San himself still only at the Spirit Douluo level and lacking his eighth spirit ring.
No sooner had Yang Potian stepped onto the island than an immense aura surged forth. Sea God Douluo Bo Saixi appeared, glaring at him with an expression of anger and disgust.
Yang Potian greeted her with an unaffected smile. "An honor to see you, Senior Bo Saixi."
Bo Saixi's gaze turned cold. "Yang Potian, you actually dare set foot on Sea God Island? Did you forget what I told you last time?"
He chuckled. "I'm not sure what you're referring to, Senior. I came here openly, with the Red Rank authority granted by Sea God Island. What reason could you have to stop me?"
Bo Saixi's eyes narrowed. "If I recall, I warned you to stay out of conflicts with the Clear Sky Clan and Tang Chen. Why did you injure Tang Hao and Tang Xiao so grievously?"
Yang Potian gave a bitter laugh. "Senior, has there been some misunderstanding? Tianxing Academy has kept to itself in Mount Almo, steering clear of all spirit master conflicts. But the Clear Sky Clan sought us out. Were we supposed to just stand there and take it?"
"Was that 'self-defense'? You went so far as to sever Tang Hao's arm and severely injure Tang Xiao. They would have been dead if not for an intervention."
Yang Potian's face darkened. "Interesting logic, Senior. Did you investigate why they attacked my grandfather and uncle? Did they show any restraint?"
