Whoosh!
A blur of blue lightning flashed from the canopy above. Like a phantom, Max materialized behind Brian, so silent that even the wind seemed to hold its breath.
Brian's eyes widened, his pupils contracting to pinpoints as a suffocating, icy chill clawed up his spine. "N-Not good—" he managed to croak, his voice strangled by sheer terror.
But it was already too late.
Bang!
"Dragon Sovereign Sky-Soar Fist!" Max's fist slammed into Brian's ribs with a devastating force that made the very air shudder. The impact was like thunder cracking through the valley.
Brian's body bent grotesquely around Max's fist as he was hurled forward like a ragdoll, bones audibly splintering under the tremendous force of the blow. He crashed to the ground several meters away, dust and broken stones spraying into the air as he skidded across the earth, silver robes flaring around him.
