A series of taps brought me out of my slumber, and the sun struck my eyes because of how I had been sleeping. I frowned, annoyed by the interruption.
Looking at my disturbance, I saw that it was one of the Knights. He spoke now that he had my attention, albeit he noticed my annoyance.
"Morning rations are being served; we thought you'd come to when the carriages stopped," he explained, standing up straight to gesture outside.
He was right; the carriage no longer moved, and I could hear the chatter of knights who indeed sounded happy, presumably from food.
"How long have I been asleep?" I asked, surprised, since we appeared to have traveled a long distance.
"About five hours," he responded, inspecting my figure. He appeared intrigued by my long Crimson hair. Plus although I exuded a mere Plateau stage aura, he felt uncertain in his ability to prevail against me in a fight. He couldn't.
