"You haven't done this often, right?" Cass asked, nervous as hell as they got into the carriage. The door wasn't even closed when the words left Cass' mouth. He remembered them talking about it, but he needed to be sure.
Edgar gave him a strange look, surprised that Cass had asked before his expression melted into a playboy smile.
"I haven't done it often, no. Certainly never with someone I wanted to be careful with." Edgar told him. Cass let out a gust of air from his lungs, his body slamming down onto the carriage cushion a little too hard. Edgar's smile reached his eyes as he scanned Cass' anxious body.
Cass had purposefully sat on the bench opposite of him, knowing damn well that that wasn't going to last for long. However, Edgar didn't seem to mind. Settling in across from him as Byron closed the door behind them. Cass wiped his nervous hands on his pants, aware that someone like Edgar could probably hear his heartbeat right now.
