Cass gulped, striding towards the giant, warm beast who was still billowing out smoke and barbeque scent while the rest of the nobles were running and screaming.
There was a small (small) part of Cass that was a little upset that he didn't get to tease people more, but hey, the King truly brought this upon himself. He hoped he had a fun time explaining what happened to the other nation's Duke. It wasn't Cass' fucking problem.
He tried to steal their Saintess. The gods were the ones who made him pay the price. Technically, it was the Red Dragon himself who had told him that he had made a poor choice. The gods they believed in had put him in his place.
If the others didn't see it the same way, that wasn't on Cass. They needed to go to the temple more and pray. The gods would probably like that too. Maybe they could go touch grass too. Especially if there were demons and monsters out and about.
