Whole hallway ignite with magic, it leads to who knows where. "You sure this is the right path?"
"Yes, and I know what I am doing." Follow with the running circles of magic also went around fountains on each circle, can tell they're obsessed with this kind of technology.
Along the way, there's another vast room.
It's different than before, it's more or less modern than before. "More like a mediocre invention, no wonder they're messed up."
"Why did you say that? This thing is like- eons old and it still work, what do you mean?" They are referring at a single thing in this room.
It didn't walk, it didn't talk. For it's longing for an activation command, yet there's no one to say that.
The lady look at this thing in the midde, machine of war, heartless engine, built for those whow want but didn't want to make their hands dirty.
"You seems quite fitting to replace someone, but it isn't me."
The man glare at her. "This thing didn't have it's own mind, and you need me to keep you away from insanity."
"No, no, no. I am referring to as another guard that was nonexisted." She put out her hands towards the slumbering ever fallen animatronic, the man just nods.
Energy channel trough the vessel of destruction, for it falter upon awakening.
"No, I aiiii don't waent to dooooo thissss." The animatronic screech, and it doesn't sounds cooperating.
"Who aerr you?!" The animatronic held into it's blade, with no information about what's going on.
It was fear, the thing any animatronics lacks.
She tilt her head, processing what's going on. So great that she approach the animatronic, it backed up.
Now cornered, it drop it's blade.
"Half living, you are very interesting." The animatronic had wait for it's demise, but didn't receive it.
It cannot produce a voice, for part of it's neck are taken by the lady. Who blow to it, and putting it back to the animatronic. "Tired and poor little thing."
It stands up, now in upwards stands. Revealing it's true height, taller than the lady's companion. "You, are taller than you seem."
"Thank you." The animatronic was quite ragged, unarmored and unarmed.
It use a hanging armor equipment on the wall, suprisingly proficient in wearing it. "So, what makes you two came to this place?"
"It's because this place put a problem to the entire continent." It picked up it's blade, and sheathe it.
"I am sorry for that, I haven't been activated since that time." It was mostly cushion protection the animatronic use, perfectly suited to protect it's inner brittle vessel.
A door had been unlocked, there activate a lot of animatronics. "I know a way upstairs-"
The animatronic lead a charge trough the horde of alot more animatronics, the version of which are totally specialized for murders. Before The Animatronic could smash into the horde, all of them falling and follows with a loud bangs.
"What's that?!" The man screamed, the lady slide over. Cleaning herself from dust of unstable magic, and the animatronics is still in tact.
The Animatronic left questioning what had happened. "You ruin their rune combination?"
"Yes, you can tell!" After a while, it's clear to the man how she are able to left a minimal mark on most of the animatronics.
For a while, the man had an idea "Well, now it's 3 of us here. Why won't we adress ourself with a name?"
No warning, the lady shout. "CALL ME THE CAPTAIN!"
Like she shout to me, and this lightly irritate the man. "Alright, I am Johnn then."
Now it's just The Animatronic who ddin't reveal it's code name, like it's hesitated.
"So, what's your code then?"
"It's Terra-027, but they scrap me." The past still linger on it's memory, with the emotion fluctuating after it was repurposed.
The Captain clap her hands together, she's going to propose. "How about Ferramashi?"
"It might take a while for me to get used by that surname." It took a piece of the flag on his pedestal and cut a pattern on it, for it says Ferramashi.
For now we refer Ferramashi as Ferra, and the rest is what they are.
Upstairs was a long journey, so far there's only two living thing wandering around this warmed up palace. While it is an efficient journey, the sanctuary itself was miles on duration to get on the top.
So much infrastructure no longer function, some are still functioning regardless of the time.
It's get them to find the end of this tunnel, it's a fissure crack. Too wide, too deep and energy consuming. Not worth to be crossed. "Too bad, this is the most I could recall from my memory."
"Maybe we could search for another way, I am positive there's still a way even while it's tough." First time seeing an artificial intelegence so determined to do something, passion of which help on keeping the morale on track.
The Captain can't help but smile, she's still frustated over something unknown. "Tsk."
"What's wrong?"
"It's like something absorb our energy, it only get worse the further we get up there." All of them didn't stop, they keep going to the path on Fer's memory.
They get quick on their feet, seeing a light at the distance above.
Blizzard easily breach this structure, for this is too high of an altitude over the clouds for it is impossible for blizzards to get here. But nature didn't let this slide, there are still a heights to climb with a bashing gusts all over the broken rooftop.
Silence overwritten by stroke of whistling gust, strong enough to break nearly everything on the way. While our group haven't dare to cross the windy exterior of this building, especially the steep path of which falling shall send thou into the abyss.
"We need a break? It's a good momentary resting place." Johnn's voice is capable of overwriting the loud whistle of gusts.
The Captain collapse, backs lean against the stalling walls. Of which tower beyond herself. Fer also lower it's altitude, enough to regain morale in this tough situation. "I hadn't felt this weirdly slick after all my time online, it's like my ligaments are all smoothen out."
"It's normal for rust to get away after that much of a movement, suprised to know you can walk after that long offline." The Captain, feels apathetic yet isn't.
Subtle care from her barely fit her persona, but composed is what she is. "Huh, this is the first time I have seen this side of you."
"That makes sense, I haven't always like this. Also, you're a pretty good heathcare unit I see. Although I barely retain injuries, the way you treat yourself show how capable you are at urgent times. Impressive." Fer only blindly glance at both of them, it's like the copper eyes can see just like any creature would.
How natural the pupil shrink and moves prove this point further, and always it is odd to see. "You're smarter than I thought, it's not a wrong descision I came with you here."
"So, how about that you rambling about it's a bad idea to do this kind of things before?" From apathetic to this smirk you haven't seen from a sad person, it's hard to imagine but it is.
"You know that people can change their mind, right?" The Captain reach for her own hair, tied it back and keep a amirk like before.
"Of course, nearly every individual I knew are all rockhead. So, don't be suprised if I happen to be one of them." She stand up, limbs stretched to all four and whistling gust accompany.
"Come on, it haven't been a long time!" Exact protest The Captain had expected.
The Captain looks back, smirk Shifts to smile. "You said it was a good idea."
Her gaze turn at Fer, raise her palm upwards towards Fer. Attempting to make sense of this, Fer's first assumption was "You want me to hold your hands?"
"Smart one. Also, Mr. Good Idea! Please hold Ferramashi's hand!" At first he hesitated, but he hold the animatronic's hand at last.
The Captain make her first move, she didn't falter from the bashing gust. Neither do both of her companions, for there's no wind had struck them at all. It felt surreal for the only thing they heard was a slow, calm and steady gust.
View above the clouds is just too surreal, and The Captain didn't have enough time for that. "Hey, focus! If one fall, we all does!"
I'll describe them anyway.
Beyond the current shelter they are on, are bunch of open gazebo who wasn't afraid of the wind. For it's original protector are broken after these much time, yet the structure keep standing tall without the need of maintenance.
The Captain put her gaze at the shining core, meters above them. It's still a long journey to take with this devastating wind, immediate contact means injury.
For it is enough for their attempt, there's little to no magic The Captain possess. "I suggest we set our camp here." They are lucky there's enough space for their resting place.
Another attempt awaits.
